Great crabcakes. Lobster rolls good and fresh. Fresh fish platter. Not much sitting room but good to go to.................................................
Wood's is so good! If I want seafood from Plymouth I go here! It is quick, fresh, and cheap! It tastes amazing too! The customer service is great even though it's always so busy! In the picture below I got a HUGE thing of muscles and a quahog for under 13 dollars!!
I had a wonderful piece of baked bluefish with fries. The fish was fresh and very tasty. My wife had halibut which was also very good. It would be nice if they would put in a better system of fans to circulate the air a bit better. It gets a little warm in there while waiting for your food and dining.
Ciao time in Plymouth. I always ask a local where do they go to eat for good food when I am traveling. I was not disappointed here! Good & fresh seafood & very resonaible prices. Ask the gal behind the counter what she suggests, not only friendly she was spot on! I will be back the next time I travel to this area.
Great place to get fresh seafood at a reasonable price. The baked Haddock was unusually good!
Very Rustic, Casual, and Fresh. The food is very fresh and affordable. After you enter, you stand in line, order & pay, find your seat (overlooking the water), wait for your number, get your tray of food with empty cup, fill cup from soda fountain, then sit and eat. The atmosphere is more like a mcdonald's, but I can shut it out because the food is so fresh and there is a great harbor view. Yes, it is not the healthiest, as most everything is fried! But, then you walk around the harbor afterwards and watch the sun set. I usually order the fish sandwich, which is the best around, a big, juicy, tasty, filet of fish (I usually don't even eat the bread).
Really fresh haddock & lobster! Large portions! Fried haddock was really light & crispy. Great place for families or a casual dinner.
My go to place for amazing lobster on the east coast, I have been going to Wood's for almost 20 years and I will continue to come here.
Our family had clam chowder, crab cakes and baked haddock. All of it was amazing, but the haddock was the best fish I ever tasted!
Delicious seafood, reasonable prices, good sea view. While reading the posted menu, the staff showed my kids a couple of lobsters and answered some questions. Can watch the boats and waves in the bay. Great family atmosphere.
For a total of less than $50 we got through two lobsters, 2 crab cakes, a lobster roll, various side orders and 2 soft drinks. That can't be bad value by anyone's standards. There is absolutely nothing elegant or sophisticated about Woods but it hits the spot if you're looking for the freshest seafood straight off the boat at the best prices.
Awesome restaurant for seafood plates. Prices are great and wait times are low too. Off-season visits are great as there is usually seating (during covid only takeout).
The lobster roll is a must-try! Toasty, buttery bun overflowing with fresh, large lumps of lobster goodness. A New England classic. It’s right on the water too so you can enjoy a picturesque view while consuming delicious food.
We only bought their cooked shrimps and cocktail sauce, but they were so fresh it was noticed by my entire family. Next time will get their lobsters, they looked great we were in a rental home and we didn't have a lobster pot. Loved their selection and will be back for sure.😊
I was trying to do all my last minute things before Christmas and it was before they opened up as I was passing by I saw Joe going into work and he took care of my order. Great service great staff and managers. Great fish!
When you think of New England lots of things come to mind, the smell of the sea, quaint towns and most importantly food. Wood’s is no exception. Wood’s embodies traditional NE charm combined with a friendly staff and darn good food. Started with an appetizer of a mountain of Fried Onion Rings and then for a main course Fresh juicy Fried Chicken Tenders and French Fries. All in all very good and certainly worth the visit.
My fish & chips was great and it came with two different fishes with a crispy coating and moist fresh fish inside with great taste. The crab cake was much more cake than crab. Would not order it again. The third dish, which totally escapes me, was also very good. I will be back just more selective
Great little fresh seafood restaurant and market, right on the pier. I like a beer with my fried clams, so maybe I'll do take out next time - no alcoholic beverages served here.
Excellent scallops but my lobster was chewy. The lobster bisque was the best ever probably. A must try if in the Plymouth Massachusetts area.
