Great BBQ considering it's Jersey. Very good ribs, sides, and fried onion block. I've eaten ribs all over the country, and there are better ribs out there for sure. But for New Jersey these are pretty darn good. A bit pricey, but this is the shore, y'know.
Great food and great service. The pulled pork was excellent and the corn fritters were straight from the south. Mouth watering every bite!

Best BBQ in NJ!. The Hickory Hog is amazing! Every time I am visiting mom in South Jersey--we go there! Ribs are awesome and their wings are fantastic. Mom used to live in SC and this is the only place that captures the BBQ of the South--the birthplace of BBQ! Can't go wrong with this place!

It's was nice, the food was good and the price was,but it was a little bit hot inside.
We had our backyard wedding last week and we chose to go with Hickory Hog in Point Pleasant for the BBQ. As the father of the bride said in his speach "you chose well". The food was Amazing! Our guests from North Carolina were impressed with the quality and flavor (and these people are picky about their BBQ). Maureen, her husband and staff were helpful, kind, and professional. Thank You Hickory Hog Team for making the meal at our wedding a hit!

The blackened steak bites are very good. Large pieces tender cut and cooked right. Spices are on point.
Had a full rack of excellent baby back ribs which basically fell off the bone. Definitely give them a shot over their local ‘competitor’. Will be back!
The food and service was delicious! Small dining area but the food is worth the wait. If you order the ribs, ask for the “perfect combo” rub. Establishment is BYOB friendly

The buffalo wings are definitely worth mentioning. I always order take out since everything is usually ready pretty quickly.
We come to Point Pleasant every summer for a week. We make sure to come to the Hickory Hog at least once but sometimes two or three times because we love it so much. Everything is delicious here from the ribs to the Mac and cheese, Cole slaw , mashed potatoes. I highly recommend! You will not be disappointed.
I have been here twice , in September and we went today actually... The waitress was so sweet and very attentive. We have enjoyed the food both times.. I am very picky about my burgers being well done and this was by far the best burger both times. The food was hot and we absolutely love the brocoli bites and fried pickles. Great food and cute dining area.
I don't get all the criticism in these comments. HH makes some damn good BBQ, especially for NJ. I went there years ago and loved it, and went back recently and it was just as I remembered. I love the dry rub baby back ribs. They are some of the best rubs I've had in the area. Sides are great as well.
My mom loves barbecue and I took her there for her birthday! The baby back ribs were to die for and also the sides. It is a little old-time place not a lot of tables but the food and the service were excellent. You can bring your own bottle and the liquor store is attached right to the restaurant. Personal favorite baby back ribs!
