Had the Chicken strips (first time) and some hush puppies tonight, they were soo tender moist and delicious. I've had the fish and shrimp on several occasions and it's always amazing!

We just moved to pontiac in February and just recently started trying all the highly rated food joints out here.
This place was AMAZING! We got the cod, mac and cheese, chicken tenders and the corn bread.
My boyfriend & I shared the 4 piece cod and I could barely finish my 2nd piece because of how large they were, they were fried PERFECTLY, and had a lot of flavor in the batter! The tarter sauce has to be homemade, it had a lot of great flavors that paired nicely with the cod. My son got the chicken tenders with fries and I tried one of his chicken strips. For plain ole chicken strips they were fried so well & tasted amazing. The fries he said were good. The mac & cheese was good, alot of garlic but i still liked it. & I saved the best for last. THE CORN BREAD 😋😋 If youve been to OCJ the LOOK of it might give you some jail house flashbacks but I promise you it tastes AMAZING. not dry at all, so good.
Overall everytbing was amazing & the servic was great as well.
Always have a great meal here. First time picking it up to go. Had to wait a bit, but that's because everything was cooked fresh. The catfish is incredible, best I've had anywhere. The collards hit the right point between being cooked enough to be tender but not over cooked into mush. Definitely will keep coming here.
If you want awesome fish or chicken, check this place out! Try the catfish! The chicken tenders were great too, very moist. Great lunch specials and dinner combos, and they also offer catering. They seem a bit short staffed, like everywhere else is, so just be patient, the food is worth the wait! Also try the tartar sauce, it’s house made.
They are in the middle of remodeling but, definitely worth the trip. I got the catfish meal with the collard greens. Food was perfect, staff was friendly and courteous and service was quick. Can hardly wait until remodel is done and I can have a sit down meal.
I order the small basket catfish with a small fries and a large macaroni and cheese. The catfish tasted incredible cooked perfectly well, the fries were like heaven in a box on a Christmas night. I have heard that they are known for the macaroni and cheese the make and I definitely lived up to it’s name. I think it was Yousef that had helped me when I came in and he was such a sweet hart.
I ordered by the chicken sandwich combo it was hella good straight smackin. The fry’s were hot and crispy very well seasoned. The sandwich though lacking the lettuce I seen in the picture was still truly amazing packin a great burst of flavor
