Sushi was amazing. Dumplings were so good (we pork and got then them fried) The Japanese noodle dishes were very good besides the chicken. My partner got beef and it was cooked well. I got the chicken and it was a little try and tasted a little weird. Everything else was great.
New restaurant in Port Charlotte. Shushimi and Sushi were excellent. Not busy. No wait. No veteran discount. Nice decorations, but not real fancy. A bit pricey but great food. Give them a try.
Great Chinese food! My sister went out to eat with a friend and she got the filet mignon and chicken hibachi and she thought it was great! She brought home sesame chicken, chicken fried rice, beef lo mein, egg rolls, and dumplings home for my mother and me and we loved it! We had a taste for Chinese food and this hit the spot. My sister said it was really nice and clean inside and I look forward to dining in next time! Support your local restaurants!
Great food. Small little restaurant tucked in the back of the plaza. The food was great. We tried hot saki for the first time, different but good. I recommend you try it. The rice is very tasty, and they have a great selection of options. No chicken wings or fries, not that kind of place.
Staff very attentive. Very clean. The hibachi lunch was good. Neither my husband or I liked the rice. The calamari had too much breading. Reasonable prices. The yum yum sauce tasted a lot different than other chains, maybe watered down? We would go back and try something different.
Sashimi bento box was fun and delicious, sashimi were fresh, gyoza was juicy and crunchy . Lovely small place in Port Charlotte of Tamiami trail, service was good, will def be back to try their other dishes : )
I recently dined at Koi Asian Bistro and I had a fantastic experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout my meal. The restaurant was impeccably clean, which added to the overall pleasant atmosphere. And the food? Absolutely delicious! Every dish I tried was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. I can't wait to return for another delightful dining experience. Kudos to the team at Koi Asian Bistro!
This is the first time at this restaurant. I got the sweet and sour chicken and shrimp lo mein. The sweet and sour is delicious. Its not the balls with a cup of sauce you get at most restaurants. It had pineapple green peppers and onion. The shrimp lo mein had a good amount of large shrimp. The noodles didn't have much taste being it only had a tiny bit of celery and carrot. According to the menu it's supposed to also have cabbage onions and green onions which it did not not
Will try again with different entrees. Warning if you order online on their website for pickup it's actually through door dash and the prices listed are 2 dollars more for each item than what the menu from the restaurant are. Better to just call in an order.
The moment you walk in you are treated like it's a 5 star restaurant.
Food is absolutely delicious. No waiting, food came out hot.
I had the veggies with garlic sauce. And if you are msg intolerant you can ask for no msg. That part is very important for me.
My allergy to it is severe.

Anyone giving this place less than 5 stars needs their tastebuds examined! Let's start with the fact that this place cooks the food fresh. The customer service is incredible! Like, it's amazing! I had the shrimp lo-mein. The shrimps were huge! And the noodles were so freaking good! I've been so hungry for good Asian food 😩. They have a variety of dishes from different areas of Asia. I mean, it's American Asian so you'll find all of your favorites. If you are in PC and you want a cozy intimate place with good atmosphere... Please try this place. Oh, and it's right next to the gym so go do some crunches when you're done! Tell them Tim sent you, they won't know who I am but it'll be our little inside joke.
I decided to try a new restaurant that just opened. This is a great restaurant to our area. I was extremely impressed by the quality of food and even the lunch specials. The sushi was excellent and the steak hibachi was tasty. They are located at 1825 Tamiami trail #B8 Port Charlotte, FL 33948. They are in the same plaza as where the old fortune garden Chinese restaurant was.
Koi was awesome! Wasn't sure at first because of the reviews but that's when I realized the older reviews are from the place that was here before. Everything was delicious and all at a reasonable price. Can never have too many sushi and hibachi places around for our family!
Very clean. Wonderful, attentive, patient staff. This is NOT your American Asian food. The majority of the recipes are based on tradition not American Asian. I started with the Spicy Kani salad a favorite of mine
They aced it = 😋. My entree was Salt & Pepper Shrimp 🍤. Gently battered the 12 shrimp were tasty and plump = 😋. Good selection of Saki! I went for dinner but examined the menu. This is your place for sushi! My next choice will be hibachi! Wish I would have pictured my plate as the presentation was beautiful. Also, lunch menu till 3pm was very inviting. Enjoy 😉
All the food was very tasty.SUSHI was amazing. Loved the flavor of the fried rice , it has scrambled eggs but VERY little .and carrots ,it’s brown in color .It just needs bamboo shoots.and more eggs and smaller pieces of chicken .Ours was very dry .Haven’t tried the others . Sweet and sour was yummy .Warning they don’t offer condiments when you do TOO GO .,or Door Dash . I left with only Soy sauce in my bag . I can tell you it’s NOT like those “Pic a Number “ egg roll or soda LOL .Chinese places….Its looks like a nice sit down restaurant. They don’t offer Those fried noodles on the table . That is sad . Who doesn’t like those ….But we will continue to order just hope they read this and fix chicken fried rice 😊
Delicious food, ultra fresh sushi, VERY clean, quaint atmosphere, price to portion ratio is spot on, friendly & efficient staff... couldn't ask for anything more!!! Give it a try, PC...you will be pleased.
First visit. Good Miso, sushi rolls. Great prices. They have lunch specials. Very clean!
This place just opened few months ago. The food and Sushi are good, the server is friendly. We will come back when I’m in this area.
