I have gone into Denny's several times and in the past the service and food preparation was terrible. In the past month they now have a gentleman I am guessing is a manager. The waitresses and food have been great. The manager moves around and see things get done and asks customers if everything is alright.
When we arrived for breakfast we were greeted by waitress Marilyn. Marilyn asked us if we wanted to set at our usual table. Marilyn also if we would like our usual. We told her yes to both questions. This is 3rd time we have been there. There were no problems with our orders. Marilyn is a very nice lady who takes good care of her guests. I will definitely recommend breakfast at the Denny's at Veterans Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte Florida.
My husband drove 16 hours straight from Indianapolis, IN to Port Charlotte, FL in order to be home and together for Valentine's Day. It was 10:30 pm when he got home. Our Denny's is just a couple of miles down the road & perfect for a late night Carmel Apple Crisp & Ice Cream. Our food & dessert were great. Maria was our server. She treated us like family which was awesome. Thank you
I visit the Denny's in Port Charlotte quite often, the staff are outstanding and the food is amazing. On one visit, I had the cook come out and ask me what I wanted him to cook for me. The reason he did that was my waitress was getting my drink order. Love the atmosphere and food. Everyone is so nice.

I enjoyed my brkfst even have things marked gf which helped me order easier. They had gf English muffins! Yum!

Today a couple of friends and I went to Denny's at 1340 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte. We went there at 1:00. It's the first time that I have gone to this particular Denny's, but this is a pretty popular place back in Minnesota where I came from a little over 3 years ago. The first thing I noticed was there were not many people in the place even though it was a little past lunch rush, but to be fair it was a Sunday afternoon. The place appeared clean and bright and we were told we could sit anywhere in the middle section. We chose a booth. The server brought our menu items and took our drink orders. Coffee all around for the 3 of us. Delicious coffee, by the way. The menu was extensive and had many options. One quirk was they were advertising Pumpkin Pecan Pancakes, but they had no pecans. The server explained they were switching out to their new menus, but that was happening Monday or Tuesday and he apologized. Apparently they had pumpkin pancakes, but no pecans. I ordered a Denver omelet to get around the faux pas. The food was good. I would give it a solid 3.5 out of 5. Servers were polite and attentive. The experience was not bad and I will probably be back. I will update the review if I discover anything else, but I must say that if you have not gone there, you should try it out. It is a good eating option in Port Charlotte.
It's been literally years since we went to Dennys. The last time we were there it wasn't a good experience, and the restaurant was fairly run down.
We decided to try them out on 12/14/23. The restaurant looks like it's been renovated, and no longer looks run down. The food was hot and tasty, and Christian was a really great server, and was on top of things!
We will definitely go back.
Locate by US 41 (Tamiami Trail) and Veteran. Restaurant is clean with comfortable booth seatings. Absolutely love the breakfast here. Coffee is good, I chose The Ultimate Omelette while my husband chose Philly's Cheesesteak Omelette (his favorite 😊) Both dishes were delicious. My server was attentive and friendly.
With a clean restaurant, good food and good service, what's not to love?

My Grand Slamwich was absolutely fantastic - a delightful blend of flavors that hit the spot perfectly. Service was top-notch, with incredibly friendly staff who made the dining experience even more enjoyable. The food arrived super fast, a pleasant surprise that added to the overall excellent service. I came in for dinner tonight at Denny’s at 41 and Veterans blvd. I haven’t been to Denny’s in a very long time. I got seated very quickly and the server I had who’s name is Julian was very kind and very polite. My dinner came out and it was EXCELLENT!! I asked to talk to the manager and he finally came out. His name was Trevor and I informed him about my service and how good the meal was. These men were both very friendly and polite. I will definitely be coming back in very soon.
Great experience with my wife and kids. Had tbone steak and eggs. Steak was cooked to perfection. My server sandra was amazing. The general manger Sarah knows how to run a store. Got to meet her when she stopped by my table to see how everything was going. I will definitely be visiting this location again.
Stopped for late dinner after the movies. Promptly greeted and seated. Restraunt was very clean, service prompt and friendly. My boyfriend ordered breakfast and his eggs were cooked to perfection. I had chicken tenders they were also delicious. Manger very pleasant and came by to check on us. Excellent customer service . We will definitely be back!
We drive from North Port to Port Charlotte just for breakfast at Denny's; that's how much we enjoy the restaurant! The manager is tops as are the ladies who serve the tables. . . there's always a smile and a welcome at Denny's. The food is good and tasty and all at a reasonable price. Highly recommended!!

Comfort food on tap. Denny's needs more staff to better serve the few of us who still enjoy a sit-down meal. I'm pretty sure the wire was the cook and the register guy all in one.
We used to visit regularly but things had been chaotic for a while. We started coming back when they got a new manager, Sara. Suddenly everyone is happier and the food and service are great. Our server Sandy was terrific. We will be coming back.
Went to Denny's Saturday Kimberly was my server. Great meal and great service! The bourbon chicken skillet was suggested to me and it has to be my new favorite!
We had a delicious meal here tonight. Our waitress Kyiah was so sweet. She really made our dinner more enjoyable with her lovely smile and personality. You get 5 stars Kyiah.

Service was rather slow when we got there. But it was understandable due to the issues they had to overcome. Once we got our server, they took really good care of us. Food was amazing. I would give 5 stars, but the company really did the employees a disservice by not getting the help they needed. Will poop here again.
