The best place to go and enjoy. I Highly recommend this place to anyone.
We went there for ice cream. The selections are amazing! It was tough to pick just one! The place was clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the owner was also there and very friendly! I would recommend Ben’s to everyone!
My son's favorite place to go (and this is a 6 year old who eats next to nothing who has a critique for every place we've ever been) for hot dogs, milk shakes, ice cream, french fries, and even loved their cheese burger (which he won't eat anywhere else)! Love the sodas. I have eaten their chicken tenders over a dozen times, and they are always fresh, real chicken. I love the fact that they are not full of spice; they don't need anything. Their Caesar salad is also amazing. I don't like burgers, but had one with cheese and grilled onions, and LOVED it! Finally a clean, quick place to get great food, with great, friendly service whether they are packed or empty!
***FYI: For all who had negative comments when they first opened, those issues clearly have been worked out, because none of those exist now, and I go there at least once a week!
Found this place after making a wrong turn on our way home from a camping trip. I thought it looked cool and we were hungry so we figured we’d give it a try. We were impressed, the place was clean, the staff was friendly and good with our kids. I got a double burger with bacon and it so was good I almost went back for a second one. The chicken tenders were good as well. If you order the medium fries, be prepared to feed your whole family. The kids were picky as always but really enjoyed the free ice cream that came with their meal. If we’re ever back in the area, we’ll be stopping for sure.
Stopped at @bensfresh_portjervis_ny this Memorial Day We had a chicken bacon ranch #quesadilla and Ben’s Chicken & Fries. I also had the famous Cannoli Parfait YUM.
When you walk into this place mass confusion reigns. You order up front and they either bring your food or you come and get it, depending on what I don't know. People are yelling across the room and kids are standing everywhere waiting for take out. The employees are all doing at least 3 things at once. The girl who helped us was on the phone taking an order. She had to stop to put out cups for ketchup, then had to go back because the ketchup was empty.
So it took a while to get our food but not an excessive amount of time.
The portions are ridiculously large. One order of fries is enough for 2, even 3 people. The food is good. I don't like the idea of chicken finger sandwiches because the chicken is constantly falling out. Sandwiches huge, but needed more sauce IMO. French fries tasty but not crisp enough.
The gimmick here is adding pasta to wraps. Not sure if I'm a fan of it but it's not a bad idea.
I recommend giving it a try but not if you plan a quiet conversation.
My son has been here a few times and we decided to meet him halfway between our respective houses. There was a large selection of food options and specials. My wife enjoyed the crispy chicken sandwich and I had a bacon cheeseburger with fries. I also opted to have a soup and that two was excellent. Our son and daughter in law loved their burgers too. I also opted to have a milk shake, and it was very good. The order takers too our orders and brought the food to our table. Even bringing out the birthday cake Ice cream to help celebrate my wife's birthday. The service provided was greatly appreciated.
Food is fresh and high quality. Perry's Ice Cream is natural and rich. Benny Burger is better than any national chain. Chicken strips are large. French fries and onion rings are cooked in peanut oil. They are fresh also; not frozen. Soups are homemade and tasty.
No clue how anyone could rate this place lower than a 5PLUS! The food was AMAZING! Has something for everyone. Which was nice since I’m a vegetarian. Not to diet, not because I want to be, because my body is a jerk! I want YUMMY delicious food and this was delicious! The others that were with us are meat eaters and were amazed how delicious. First time here was 3 months ago. 1.5 hr away. We WILL be back today!!!!
Speedy service, good food. They have a few vegetarian plates. Been there a few times with our geocaching group. Most meals are under $10 but it's hard to resist ice cream after. A small ice cream is four scoops!
