Absolutely delicious! I found the service very attentive and friendly. The menu was extensive, and it took me a while to figure out what I wanted because there were a lot of good choices. I would definitely recommend this place.
I visited today and I can not say enough about how perfect Maria's service is. She fast, kind, accommodating and friendly! I usually don't leave reviews but I couldn't leave here without saying thank you so much for the great service! I will definitely be coming back

Great casual eating. It was clean, the staff friendly and attentive. The burger I got was big and tasty, fries were great too. Service was excellent. If I ever come back out this way, I'll be sure to stop on in again. Great diner! 👍 (I'm sorry I only had 3 bucks in singles on me to tip with)
It's a diner. But if you leave the north east and move down south like I did, you realize how much you miss a well run diner. The classic fair is all pretty good--the chicken parm is well baked, (crispy outside, delicious inside) and topped with a lovely cheese. Could I have used a little more sauce for it and the pasta? Yes, but I prefer that to drowning the meat until it's soggy. In the end it's the little misses that steal the last star away. Was my chocolate shake good? It was better than fair, but why give me a black-and-white shake when you have chocolate ice cream on board? I may not dream of this place, but I'll never say no to coming back either. Tasty and worth the wait.
I have been driving by this place for several years. Its black-and-white checkered facade is the fixture of Main street in Port Washington and is a very hard to miss. Never had a chance however, perhaps because I am not a breakfast person. We stopped by Port Washington Diner couple of days ago for a breakfast. We ordered a quesadilla. 2-egg breakfast and some French toast. The were pretty busy on this Saturday morning but the service was fast and the food was delicious. I would definitely come again.
Port diner is my go to regular breakfast spot. Excellent staff, food and atmosphere. Super friendly and nice and never rush you.

Service is great and the owners are the nicest people I’ve ever met. I enjoy the food too, but it’s not quite 5 star quality food and so I only gave 4 stars.
Very attentive staff and quick service. Food wise, my portion was large, I really enjoyed my fries, but my wrap was a little lacking in flavor. But overall, it was a good experience
Food was hot fresh. staff is cleanly and respectful and helpful. Its a local hotspot. I ordered the italian omelette and that comes with bread and hashbrowns. Everything tasted good. In total spent 16.20. There is free 90 min parking available behind the restaurant.
I almost did not come due to the bad reviews but this is perhaps the best experience I had at a restaurant in NYC. Staff amazing. Food great. Bathroom is well kept and very clean. Great for families!
My family loves going to this diner on weekends if my boys are around. It feels like home, but without the cooking. Great place to meet friends as well and relax. Thank you, Port washington diner. Keep up the good work .
Nice place. First time there - we do not go to PW very often - but I would go back. Very tasty scrambled eggs. Small parking area at the rear of the diner but there is cheap Muni parking across the street.
Best diner on Long Island! My family and I have been coming here for years. The staff is always friendly. The food always has great presentation and most importantly tastes delicious and consistent! The diner is always kept clean and well taken care of. It’s a true gem!
Such a loving vibe in this diner and so clean! Staff and crew really approachable and sincere in their kindness! Need to learn about the history ... Apparently there is a book where the diner is mentioned - They also have a cool mural of The North Shore! So Good!
