Wonderful atmosphere, volume of the music was perfect, so you could talk and visit. Everyone was very friendly and attentive, our server was wonderful, went above and beyound to take care if us! The food all tasted fabulous. I had the Reuben sandwich, could only eat half of it. My friend had the Avacodo Chicken club. We also had the the Flourless Sweet and Salty Chocolate Torte, it was fabulous! Highly recommended for an enjoyable night out!

Ok historically I have not been a fan of this s place and have only gone begrudgingly when dragged by friends as today. What’s different today is I actually enjoyed the food and felt it was acceptable quality. Even though Generals Chicken was a temporary item I thought it was good. Not too sweet or overly coated with batter. The dark meat was a good juicy choice. Don’t assume the lack of syrupy sauce left this meal dry or bland. To the contrary. I recommend this meal.

We were seated right away (on a Thursday night). We enjoyed the calamari with sweet chili sauce for an app. I had the brisket and asparagus with grits. The asparagus was the best I've ever tasted! The brisket was really dry. My husband has the fish and chips. He said it tasted good but there was a little too much fried coating on the bottom side. He was impressed with their beer choices, choosing to have a beer from Saugituck brewing. Overall, it was a good experience.

Food is great since taphouse changed the menu. IMO taphouse is lacking in the draft beer selection, but everyone likes different brews. So just a minor negative.

I really like that this restaurant is in the neighborhood. A great place to go to get a meal. I have been going as couple times month since they came to Portage. However, I had missed visiting in August. Went this month and appear all new staff and management though they were very friendly and accommodating. I ordered the Korean bbq flavored wings but the wings were not cooked as per usual and to my satisfaction. The macaroni and cheese the next week had a nice flavor and crust but too soupy inside … perhaps lil longer in oven or higher temperature. Overall, would go back as I have had such good food there over the years and feel like these are just growing pains.

Fun meet up spot that can accommodate anyone with consistently great service and food. There’s some TVs, but there’s also spots where you can not watch it and just hangout! Great drinks too! The salmon, cauliflower wings, and meatballs are outrageously amazing!

Friendly staff, great atmosphere and we got our food at a reasonable time in the midst of lunch rush. This is the Reuben and German pretzel poutine, fries were a little soft, as a personal preference I like them a little crispier and seasoned but they were ok. However they have the good ranch, buttermilk bar ranch which is the best. The pork on the pretzel bites make it slightly soupy but that's because it wasn't dry meat which is great, so if you order I'd recommend eating all of it then.

One of the best places in the Kalamazoo area to go for food and drinks. Elizabeth does an amazing job behind the bar and makes you feel welcome whether it’s your first time or a regular. The food is always great, the drink selection is vast, and the ambience is laid back and inviting. Never disappointed by Centre Street Tap House.

Great food, drinks, and atmosphere. No doubt the best nachos I've ever had! 35 -40 minute drive for us but was worth it. Infact we have listed this restaurant a repeater.

Not the same as west coast oysters. (Couldn't figure out how to reply, so I'm adding the following for the owner) I don't expect raw oysters in MI to be as fresh as those served closer to their origin, so it wasn't that. Perhaps it was the variety available that evening. Mostly, I think the kitchen staff needs to get more experience shucking. Here are my tips: Before shucking, scrub the oysters thoroughly until no scales come off on your hands. Getting shell fragments and scales all over when slurping the oyster was a turn-off. When shucking, keep as much of the natural "juice" in the oyster as possible. This is better than just adding lemon. It carries the brine and oyster flavors thru better. If you are pre-shucking, please don't. Serve with more than 1 lemon wedge for a dozen oysters. The cocktail sauce and cilantro/onion/vinegar sauce were very good.
