Unique restaurant. If you’re trying to find this place, note that their sign outside says, “Mucco Osteria Pizzeria.” We didn’t get it why that was but we figured it out. The seating is downstairs and upstairs. There is a 4 course and a 6 course meal option. The 4 course was $95 a person where the 6 course was higher but not known. It couldn’t be more than $45. The food was great! The only problem we had was with the scallops. They were undercooked and cold. The beef tartar was excellent. Other noteworthy meal item was the steak. Great! Check out the photos of the food we had. I don’t have the menu with me so I don’t know the menu item names but I do know the food was amazing. You won’t go wrong on any of your choices. Do try this place! It worth the price and it’s rated the #1 fine dining restaurant for a good reason!

I experienced many fascinating foods here. In particular, the scallop food was outstanding. The guests at the next table did not significantly disturb the romantic atmosphere. However, due to the influence of several cocktails, it was difficult to use the downstairs bathroom.

We shared all of our dishes, so most of them were prepared as 2 different plates, each with half portion. Really considerate and made the whole experience even better. Great service and amazing food. One of the best dinner experiences we had in Portland. Super recommended.

Updates: Coming in since their renovations has been such a treat! Delicious new menu items & the space is gorgeous! ——— We absolutely LOVE Mucca. First class service, the best dining in Portland, quaint sweet location. Everything on the menu here is outstanding and prepared fresh right in front of you - especially if you’re lucky enough to book far ahead of time and request a spot sitting at the chefs table. They also have a full tasting menu. And an excellent wine menu. Would HIGHLY recommend the tortellini, the scallops, the steak and pork shoulder. They are open for dinner only. Highly recommend making a reservation!!

I would love to give 10 if I can. They were so kind, helpful, and flexible when we called the restaurant for booking. The welcome bread was amazing, all menus were decadent, the paired wine they recommended was just perfectly matched with foods. The server was so kind and they splited all dishes in half and served in two dishes for us to share. The restaurant was lil bit dark but I loved the vibe there. I wish they keep running their business for a long time so that I can visit whenever I go to Portland.

My wife and I went to Mucca for our anniversary last night. We both got the prix fixe and split a nice bottle of wine. The good: The service was immaculate and the ambiance was charming. Both our waiter and the somm were extremely friendly and helpful. The pasta course and the main were absolutely fantastic. We were commenting on how we haven’t had pasta this good since Italy; it was a perfect al dente. The dessert course was also delicious as well. The not so good: For a $100 prix fixe menu, we expected slightly larger portions or more courses. We left hungry. The first two courses (raw oyster and then tuna tartare) really weren’t for us, but maybe that’s just a personal problem. And the scallop course had a sweet relish that was a little overpowering, but the scallops were cooked perfectly and the parm fondue was spectacular.

Incredible food! Every bite was delicious. The bread, wine and tasting menu was fantastic. Our tasting menu consisted of oysters, tuna tar tar, scallops, pasta , steak and the most incredible light and delicious dessert! The presentation and our server, Jenny was amazing! They also were accommodating for food allergies.

okay, so we came here on a whim. it was amazing, from the 20+ page wine list to the appetizer of Scallops to the fantastic Pasta and Gelato. Our Server was Deven and if you can request her, do so. cannot recommend enough.

Had a gorgeous dinner at Mucca this evening. The restaurant had a great atmosphere - I would recommend booking as even at 1800 on a Monday it was busy. I had a seat at the Chefs Counter, which was great entertainment. I had the seared scallops antipasti and a wild mushroom and local black truffle pasta (which was on the specials menu). All the food was delicious and beautifully presented. Thanks for a great dinner

Excellent service, from making a reservation all the way through to coffee after dinner. Scallops are not to be missed. Generous portions on the prix fixe menu. Fantastic flavors and textures throughout the meal. Give them a few days notice with your reservation if you want to do the tasting menu.

My husband and I made reservations for the tasting menu and opted in for the wine pairing. The staff was so welcoming and kind. They treated us like royalty. The restaurant felt very intimate and romantic to me. The food. Oh. My. God. The food. Even bite was the perfect bite. From the oysters to the peach tart and everything in between. Legitimately, one of the best meals and dining experiences that I have ever had.

Phenomenal birthday dinner at Mucca Osteria. Every dish was fantastic, but the scallops, mushroom tortellini, and duck were divine. Great service as well. We sat at the counter and loved watching the action in the kitchen.

Was here for a birthday dinner, had the tasting menu which was $100. This was criminally cheap for a tasting menu of this caliber. Sat by the chef's counter to see the action and even got a couple of extra bites from Sous Chef Yang. Monika, my server as well as the restaurant 's wine director recommended a wonderful crisp red wine from Tuscany for my meal.

Happy birthday to me! We dined here by coincidence and will return here on purpose! The dining experience from reservations to final bill was excellent. The food well prepared, pleasantly presented and delicious in every way! The service was amazing with every attention to detail! If you go… look for the scallops on the menu!

Well it's that time of the year where it's my birthday and I wanted to go somewhere nice in Portland to celebrate my birthday! Made reservations to Mucca and it was my first time here. What a wonderful restaurant. Nice rustic ambiance. Very attentive servers and staff. They explained each dish and the items in each dish. All of the food items I ordered were really good and I didn't have any dishes that I thought was just blah. But what I loved the most was the simple appetizer of Tomatoes, pesto, and burrito cheese. Simple but very delicious. The Squid Ink pasta was amazing and delicious as well. Well portioned. Enough pasta and seafood mixed. Great reataurant and I will definitely be back!

Dinner with my partner, had a nice intimate setting for couples. We opted to get the 6 course menu which included an appetizer, 4 entrees, and dessert ($100 ea). The portions are reasonably sized for a taste menu and everything came out at a nice pace. We also chose to do the wine pairing ($80 ea), it was 2 oz pours (3 white, 2 red, and 1 dessert). I would recommend if you are not a wine enthusiast to do cocktails instead. Our server was very polite and knowledgeable, he mentioned the menus rotates every 1-2 weeks. The scallops and the single noodle pasta were personal favorites of ours.
