Good quality ice creams served. Particularly liked the honey & lavender and chocolate flavors. Some seasonal specials like turkey stuffing, potatoes and casserole also sounded interesting but didn't get a chance to try them this time. I think it's worth the experience if you haven't been. Pricewise I'd say it costs more than average.
I had only heard of Salt and Straw when they opened at Downtown Disney, so of course we had to stop in to check out a real location (and no 30+ minute wait)!
The venue smells delightfully of vanilla cake when you enter.
We had the Salted Caramel in a waffle cone, and a Lavender Honey / Berry Coconut split cup. All flavors were super tasty and rich.
They also had available some pup cups for here or to go, so your pooch doesn't have to miss out.
A little pricey, but definitely worth stopping in!
Delicious! Portion sizes are HUGE so a double was ambitious but was hard to settle on just one flavour. Really rich but not overly so. Staff was really friendly and helpful and music taste inside was very vibey.
I jumped on the hype train during a visit to Portland, call it FOMO or wanting to keep pace with the SE Division foodies. It was worth the experience, though admittedly the ice cream was above average but not mind-blowing.
Placed a large online order for pick-up today 11/22/23. When we arrived we were informed there was an error with preparing the order. Julianna explained the situation and gave us options to correct our order. She then made sure the order was prepared quickly and correctly. Julianna never once appeared stressed despite how busy the store was tonight. She was very sweet, friendly and professional !!!!
Thank you Julianna for turning this experience into a positive one !!! ❤️
I've been here numerous times and every flavor is unique and amazing tasting. Pear🍐 and Blue cheese for the win! Strawberry Balsamic black pepper is amazing!
As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by a warm, welcoming interior and friendly staff. We were allowed to try as many flavors as we wanted and once we had decided, we were helped quickly. The staff were super helpful and seemed to be willing to answer any questions that were asked. There was a huge variety of flavors including some very odd flavors like Pear & Blue Cheese or Strawberry Honey Balsamic w/ Black Pepper. There were also some seasonal options like Turkey Stuffing and Cranberry Sauce and Parker House Rolls with Salted Buttercream (so much better than it sounds!). Everything seemed to be made with love and genuine caring for what they were doing. I highly recommend you visit Salt & Straw the next time you get an opportunity to do so. You won't be disappointed!
That marionberry coconut vegan ice cream 🤤🤤🤤 and the peanut butter brittle caramel fudge 🤤🤤🤤 very dank dairy free ice cream being served up here. Expect to wait in line, they give out free samples and people certainly take their sweet time picking their flavors.
Being from a small mid western town this was our 1st opportunity to try unique ice cream flavors. They were all very good! We will stop again on our next visit to Portland. After nearly a month in Portland my luggage didn't weigh more, but I sure do! 🤣
I've had ice cream from all across the country and various countries around the world and this is the best ice cream I've ever had! I do wish that you could get some of their monthly specials all year but having these flavors for only one month also makes it special and adds to the experience
