Happy to tried! The croissants here are incredible, especially with the raspberry jam. Even, spinach & cheese was delicious. The food is fantastic too. Their breakfast plates are great too! If you're in a hurry, there are plenty of pastries for carryout, but it's also a lovely spot to sit and savor for a while.
Lovely and friendly staff!
I got the northwest salmon pesto salad, it was scrumptious. Perfect amount of food, didn’t feel stuffed or hungry after eating. it came with a baguette which was also delicious. My server, Peter, was kind and helpful when choosing what to order. Great place for a nice date night/evening
This was my first time at a Petite Provence. The experience was nothing short of magical. The service was fabulous, everyone was kind and attentive. Everything on the menu sounded delicious, I don't think I could have made a bad choice. I had the polenta and poached eggs with sauteed spinach, mushrooms and bacon. Of course I had to get a croissant, perfection. I got dessert but could barely finish it. I would definitely recommend this spot for brunch, bring your appetite!
The croissants are amazing with the jam.i over heard another people also saying they could just eat the Croissants and be happy. The food was great too. They let the Monte Cristo bind together for a day before frying the sandwich. Its well blended. There are plenty of pastries to choose from if your just doing carry out. But it's a nice place to enjoy for a bit.
INCREDIBLE SERVICE!! The staff was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. They were well versed in the menu and refilled our drinks plenty of times. We got the BLT, Banana French toast, and eggs Benedict and I would highly reccomend all of them! Their croissants especially are amazing and flacky. This is a great breakfast stop in Portland
When I was in college I loved this place. I recently went again (took my in-laws before heading to the airport after a visit for my wedding) and they are very traditional/southern. I was thoroughly impressed with the service we received from the staff.
My mother in law is very picky with her food and they accommodated every single request without hesitation. The food is quite impressive, beautiful plating and great presentation, you hardly realize you’re on Alberta street.
They have takeout coffee and pastries as well, their fruit and cheese danish being my favorite! For breakfast I love the basic day breaker with chicken sausage and a side of avocado!
It’s always such a pleasure going here!
Everything I’ve tried on the menu is wonderful! The salmon salad is my favorite in the city. It might sound odd to have lentils, but trust me, it’s so yummy. Their breakfast hash with salmon is also a winner. Great tea, wonderful breads and pastries makes this a special spot. It can get crowded, but the food and excellent service are worth the wait.
The balcony was a wonderful place to be seated. We had a large group and everyone was thrilled with the quality of the food. Our waitress was cheerful and prompt. The French Toast is to die for.
Brunch today with a good group of friends. I always saw this place but never went into any of their locations until today.
Very friendly and attentive service. The atmosphere was very chill and light. I'm generally not a brunch or a breakfast person but this place is one of my new exceptions.
Breakfast - had a salmon hash with over easy eggs. And it was so filling but not too heavy like most hash breakfast is. It was a very great post work out delicious breakfast. It comes with a croissant with a red jam which was a delicious add on.
I had their old fashion and for a brunch place, I was pleasantly surprised that their old fashion was spot on. Also I made sure to ask if their old fashion was served in a single ice cube as some other places serve it with multiple ice cubes (it makes a difference, even tho I sound super pretentious). But I loved that the server was so receptive to my question.
Cute cafe; it has a very European atmosphere. I've been there several times and I've always been amazed at the flavor of the meals. My favorite so far was a savory French toast breakfast. I highly recommend eating here! We usually find street parking nearby and have sat indoors and outdoors. Both are comfortable. We have a favorite server named Marina who always treats us well. The portion sizes are large considering the price and the fact that it's a French inspired restaurant cafe. It's unique that they offer squash as a side, and it's phenomenal!
Fabulous brunch spot on Alberta.
Tasty food, good service and great drinks.
The covered outdoor area is between the sidewalk and street and provides shade through mid day.
We loved our hearty meals and the fresh green juice was fabulous. The crossaints were so light and fresh. We will definitely return.
First time visiting this place and both the food and the service were excellent. Our server, Taylor could not have been nicer or more accommodating as three of us split one breakfast and two pastries. We had smoked salmon hash and it was so, so good. Don’t miss their raspberry jam it is delicious. We were ready to purchase a few jars of it but it needs to be refrigerated and alas, we were traveling and didn’t have refrigeration. The atmosphere is french (as expected) and we had a table inside, on the balcony, which was comfortable and nice to look at the activity below. We will definitely visit again before we leave Portland.
Amazing staff and food! We had a great breakfast and will definitely come back!
Staff was extremely nice and friendly! Food was super delicious!
So good as usual! Perfect outdoor brunch
Just grabbed some pastries 🥐 🥮 and coffee ☕️ to go. I would definitely make a reservation because the wait is long if not. There is outdoor and indoor seating. The food looked good and the environment was busy with excitement.
I'll start with the bad, expect to wait, a lot. If you're planning to stop by for a quick breakfast or brunch meal, go elsewhere. Waiting to be seated took long enough but even after the fact, we were forgotten on completely. I wish I were kidding but from the moment we sat down to the moment we got our food it was a bit past an hour, which is insane for a small establishment that wasn't too busy.
The saving grace of the restaurant was its food, as well as one particular gentleman, Marquis. I very well may be misspelling it or be getting the name wrong entirely but it was a younger man behind the bar area. He noticed we got missed and was attentive for the rest of the day with our drinks and check. If not for him our impression of the establishment would be severely diminished as everyone else working was just nonexistent.
The food itself was great. Well seasoned, great serving size, reasonably priced. Honestly the small quaint French cafe theme is charming as well. Overall a good experience if you have plenty of time on your hands. Get better workers, Marquis' back must be broken from carrying the entire service team.
