Outstanding food, service and pricing. We were looking for a seafood restaurant and this one came up near the top of my search. We went during a weekday for lunch so it wasn’t busy. They serve a limited menu with excellent choices and several seafood dishes. We tried so old favorites along with some new twists and left there feeling full and happy. Our server Emily was just a delight. She was engaging, efficient and knew a ton about the menu. This was an excellent overall experience.

This place was great! Not mind-blowing but still a very good place to have lunch/dinner. I had the clam chowder which was one of the best I ever had and the caesar salad. I know caesar salad is pretty basic already but theirs was just okay. The shrimp and wild mushroom fettuccini was very good. The calamari was probably the star of the show for me; very light and crispy and delicious!

Our waiter was awesome! We loved his style of service where he left us alone to enjoy each other, but he was always back right when we needed him! I got seafood alfredo, and my boyfriend got the bouillabaisse. Both were amazing! We didn't have anything left to take home, and they were big portions. We tried escargot for the 1st time, it was delicious!! They are similar to clams. Don't shy away! Be ware it's really hard to turn down dessert since they bring a whole tray of desserts right to your table to show off what's on the menu. Their key lime pie is very good 🤤 it's a great place for a really nice date! Oh, also, pictured is a raspberry mule. It's a very tasty drink if you like a mule!

This is one of my go-to spots whenever I'm in the downtown Portland area. The location is rich in history and has been around since the 1800s. The food here is absolutely delicious!!! Everything on the menu is good, so you can't order the wrong thing. The drinks are good, and the people here are friendly and more than willing to make your visit a pleasant one! If you like history, good atmosphere, good people, good service, delicious food and drink, definitely stop by. You'll definitely want to go back!!!

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. The food had a ton of flavor. The crab and artichoke dip was exceptionally good. The stuffed salmon had a blended shrimp and lobster stuffing. However, it was still very filling and tasty. The steak was tender, juicy, and flavorful. Well worth the price!

I had been wanting to come to Portland just to eat here, and it did not disappoint. We had a wonderful time, and I could not speak enough about how amazing the food was. Our server, Brett, was very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. We had oyster shooters, steamer clams, etouffee, crabcakes, and the cod. The steamer clams were very buttery and delicious. Our drinks were top-notch, we enjoyed them very much. We will definitely be back for more.

A home run in all ways. Good service and quality food in a fun old-timey place. I had the trout and my wife had a salmon mushroom dish. We added a wedge salad and French onion soup. All quality choices. Only problem is parking, which is endemic to the area.

Lovely atmosphere and the food is top notch. Maybe it's me, but their crawfish felt a little "soapy" even though that's their speciality. Loved the oysters, even though one was not shuckled perfectly. Seafood pasta was very comforting and perfect for any day. Enjoyed a pinot gris which, even though recommended as a drier options, was not as dry.. Overall pleasent, even though service can be improved a tad..

Decided to visit Jake's last night with an old friend visiting from out of town. It's been a while since my last visit, but I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. Our server, Stephanie, was as professional and personable as any one could ask. She provided friendly banter while we ordered and waited for our food. The food came fast and was very tasty. The atmosphere was a glimpse of old Portland and something that's truly hard to find these days. Will be returning more often, as the city continues to clean itself up.

Though Portland is still recovering from very tough times, Jake’s Famous Crawfish is still a great as the last time I visited before Covid. My family and I all enjoyed the excellent food, great service, and the wonderful atmosphere. JAKE'S CRAWFISH BOIL , HORSERADISH CRUSTED STEELHEAD, & JAKE’S FAMOUS ÉTOUFFÉE were all fantastic!!! The best seafood we have had in long time!!! I highly recommend that you visit this wonderful restaurant if you are in the Portland area.

I went out with a friend who really likes crawfish, which I don't. I was really pleased they also offered non-fish dishes like simple cheeseburger and fries. Both were great. Their beef was well-cooked. The atmosphere was great, the place looks like a high-end restaurant. I think I'm moderately likely to visit again if I come to the west coast again. I also remember my friend being quite satisfied.

Took my wife here for Mother's Day. This is a very popular location so I would recommend making a reservation. The food was cooked absolutely perfectly. My wife had the salmon and I had the stuffed halibut. The desserts were all superb!! I would def recommend this place for a special someone!!

Enjoyed spicy chilled prawn appetizer. 1lb was perfect for 2 people 2nd visit for happy hour Great items on the happy hour menu! We had mussels, crab dip, calamari. Great for two people. We also did a pound of crawfish and dozen oysters on the regular menu. Yummy spice flavor to crawfish. Crab dip was the best for the price. Service was slow though…. 3rd visit: came here for our anniversary. Had the crab tortellini and seafood bouillabaisse. Everything tasted fantastic!

Very much an old time feeling inside lots of old photos. The service was outstanding. We were at the bar side for a quick snack and both guys were attentive and the cocktails were awesome. I recommend the cucumber lemonade. Lots of good seafood options. Beware they do the large pacific Oysters in a half shell so if you're not a big fan of the texture stay with the other options. They also have crab legs which is hard to find on their own in portland.

Insanely delicious. The raw oysters were so delicious. Crawfish Penne has a bit of a kick to it and it was so creamy! Truffle Cake was a great finisher and the Berry Berry Mojito was absolutely refreshing in this 80F weather! Wonderful food!

Lisa took exceptional care of us. The Chicken Marsala was divine. My wife and I shared the plate, it was the perfect amount! We started with the HH Popcorn Crawfish and they were good, not great. A wonderful experience overall!!!

You will only need to take one bite to know why this Portland local establishment is legendary and legendary it is. Absolutely five-star all the way across.

Am told Jake's is iconic. Food was excellent, as was the service. Had the escargot, the Dungeness, the French onion and the chx marsala. Restaurant was a little dated, but it was preferred for the bar area. Menu was pricey but not too bad. Lack of parking and trying to get to Jake's after by foot lowered the rating.
