I'm here now on an unexpected work break. The place is packed, but well-organized and the vibe is super laidback. My coffee is AMAZING and the staff is just super. She brought me my coffee and helped me log into their free Wifi. Awesome place! Thanks!
Really cool atmosphere. I sat at the bar so I could watch the busy baristas hard at work, and absorbed the great vibes with my almond milk latte (complete with beautiful crema artwork!) and delicious bran muffin. Delightful!

I use this place to hang-out (read: hide) with a special friend. It has a comfortable vibe and while I really liked the (new?) El Tambor, she loved it. Deep and rich, although I will always be a big fan of the Deviation blend. Well done.

Really cute, clean and comfortable spot. Walked right in and ordered our coffee - took about 5 minutes. They have oat milk. All syrups are made in house. The vanilla latte was perfectly steamed and the balance of coffee, sweetness and milk was excellent. Best part was you could drink it right away because the temperature was just right. Highly recommend.
Crafted espresso at a reasonable price. We enjoyed a beautifully poured, silky smooth bourbon caramel latte in a large ceramic mug. ☕️
Great ambiance. We could have used a little more guidance from the barista that took our order... but maybe we look so much like locals that she assumed we were regulars... 😂
Great alternative to the bigger, more expensive, less individualized franchises.
One of my favorites in Portland especially for a good latte. Plenty of seating and some good pastries/sides to go along with your coffee. Nice place to take a break when visiting downtown.

This Case Study within a prime spot in downtown Portland is my favorite location to go to by far. The decor, design and feeling of the coffee shop is perfect and being right next to the MAX and Streetcar tracks makes you feel like you're in a well designed, European city with importance on public transportation lol. It's an absolutely amazing location and a perfect spot to relax with a coffee and read a book.
The reason I am leaving 3 stars is because of the poor service I received when I was here. The barista who was making the drinks was incredibly rude to a lot of the customers, rolling their eyes when asked simple questions. Alongside that, the person who took my order seemed like they were having a very hard day, no "hello" or "I can take your order when you're ready" which is just the bare minimum when it comes to customer service. I hope this was just a one off thing and if my experience improves the next time I'll be sure to update this review.
Update: Next time I came here the two baristas who were having a bad day/acting odd weren't there and the ones replacing them were great! Easy service.

I very much enjoyed this cage. It's a great size and in a good location in downtown Portland. The food and drinks were fantastic. Also the vibes of the place reminded me of the movie "Batteries Not Included."
The coffee is amazing as are the Baristas. My only negative here is cleanliness of the seating areas and tables. They get slammed so it is understandable. Otherwise awesome space.
Cozy coffee shop with plants and pastries - great for rainy days in downtown Portland. As the name implies, they use their own locally roasted coffee beans at their few locations in the Portland area. This is a great spot to meet a friend for coffee or plug away on some work.

Being a coffee lover myself, I am always on the look out for good coffee places and I have heard a lot avlbout Portland 's coffee, it does not disappoint. Looked for places around my hotel in downtown Portland and this place should up. Nice ambiance and and friendly service across the library
