Outstanding.... seated right away, server knew the menu well enough to honestyly help us choose the right pairing of drinks an food. Organic crafted cocktails were to die for maybe too good even because having just one was so satisfying that you didnt need or want a second as it completed and met the desire. Food selection were simple components of thoughtful from the combination in dishes with quality of ingredients that defiantly will set the bar for standard of successful restaurant models. Decor was trendy, the wall paper, chandelier, bar, all cafe styled. Loung music vibe on point yet mabe a little too soft for the neighborhood construction. In specific i ordered the master cleanse drink, the zucchini french toast as a side, to the breakfast burger, farmers hash while had to take it home and the waitress never let me see the bottom of my coffee cup. Maybe i should have know upon entering with film crew to the left this was going to be an amazing experience from start to finish and it was. Left the spot feeling charge, and had a very successful day. Even the advertising on the table about Mother’s Day made me think hummmm this might be worth driving back this way from Tacoma, WA for! Happy happy customer!
Our server Josh l rocked!thank you for your energetic and wonderful service!I will rave about my dining experience here to everyone up north. Thank you!p.s.that breakfast burrito was insanely delicious!mad props to the chef and entire staff here!
The staff was exceptional. Very friendly and offered suggestions from the menu. The Bloody Mary was amazing, best I have had. The biscuits are great as well. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is the chicken fried steak.
Awesome restaurant for breakfast/brunch! Food is excellent, wait staff top notch and the scratch biscuits are to die for!
Excellent menu, excellent service. We wanted to order one of everything. Four of us each ordered a different dish and they were each fantastically yummy. Very generous portions. Beautiful presentation. We will go there again when we are in town. Worth the trip from Los Angeles to eat here. Great gluten free selections, went over big with our family.
It was amazing!!! I had the Eggs Benedict. I highly recommend this place! Our waiter was really good!
The Eggs Benedict was amazing! Everyone in our party loved their brunch. The grapefruit spritzer was light and refreshing. We had the best waiter that we have had in a long time. We will be back.
We went there last week. Service was great. I had the best huevos rancheros ever!!! Love it! The whole atmosphere was awesome! We waited an hour to get a table, but it was so worth it!
Great food, great staff, great atmosphere. This place has an essence of integral goodness. You just know you are in a restaurant people love when you dine here. Love it.
Fantastic food and great service! I recommend the butternut squash French toast!!
Besaw’s is a PORTLAND staple. They are truly one of the best. Thank you all for a great meal and service.
Absolutely amazing! Cocktails were delicious and the food was fantastic! Of course service was impeccable! Loved it the atmosphere! What a staple! Definitely going back!!! 🍷👍🥇🤩
We had the best experience at Besaw's today! They were so accommodating to our party of 30+ people! The waitstaff went above and beyond and the food was amazing! Also, the new location is beautiful! Looking forward to many returns!

All around great place, highly recommend!!!
Jesse was amazing and had great recommendations! Great person and super nice!
Here from Missouri for our friend’s birthday, and the owner came by and brought the birthday girl churros and caramel that were amazing! Excellent service
I have never had such an amazing Eggs Benedict in my life! I had the crab bennies and my husband had the salmon. We went at 945am on Thursday. Made reservations but didn't actually need them as they had lots of space. We sat on the patio, it was a quiet and cool morning. The atmosphere was fantastic. The neighborhood was safe as it wasn't downtown. The servers were really nice and the food didn't take long to arrive. I wish I could eat here every day but a vacation always comes to an end.
Besaw’s is a Portland institution that has a fascinating history dating back to the early 1900s and Prohibition. We have enjoyed dinners there (including Thanksgiving) and recently went there for a celebratory brunch. There is expansive seating outside, inside, and at the bar. We were seating at an odd, tucked-away table for 4 at the back that was in a high traffic area for the servers and bussers, which took away from the experience. The menu has tons of options that can make it hard to decide. Our food was generally excellent; however our huevos rancheros came out lukewarm. It was clear it had been sitting a bit too long. Still recommend it as a great spot for a brunch.
We were lucky to be celebrating a work milestone and our sweet waitstaff brought over a delicious HOMEMADE Poptart! The menu was inclusive of all types of brunch items sweet and savory, global, comfort foods, fancy drinks, gf and even oat milk available!
I got the smoked tilapia benedict and loved every ounce of it! My spouse got the veggie omelette and it was standard, nothing special. The potatoes are delicious too. They didn't have freshly squeezed orange juice (bummer). There was a 45 minutes wait.
Best brunch in Portland! Impressive staff and the portions are generous which is a bonus. Definitely try the Dungeness crab Benedict🌟. Love the vibe as well! Would highly recommend, this will now be a regular.
We ate here on a Saturday in July. Made a reservation for 9am and just walked past the people waiting in line. Although if they were efficient with seating nobody would have had to wait. Ordered Huevos Rancheros which tasted great, but my pork belly was cold… Too hungry to send back to actually hear it up. The corn tortilla was I think a taco shell really. But the crunch added a nice texture I haven’t had in this dish before. My wife had the chicken and waffle sando. She thought it tasted good, although chicken breast just needed a little more seasoning for her taste. Atmosphere is cool and even comes with the annoying wobbling tables! Service was great.
Came in for a nice little Saturday brunch with a friend around noon. We were seated promptly but I will say the food was not the fastest to come out. My chorizo scramble was OK but honestly nothing to ride home about. I would have gone with the huevos or the chilaquiles next time.
I will say the atmosphere is quite nice and the patio was great on a warm day.
Great place for brunch to dine inside or out. We dined outside and ordered the huevos rancheros and chorizo hash. The chorizo has had an excellent blend of sweet and savory and the pickled onions were perfection. Service was friendly and attentive with refilling water and paying the bill. I gave it four stars because it was 50 minutes from the time we ordered to the time it arrived at the table. That seems a little excessive even for busy establishments. And it was never addressed by staff which makes me think that it’s no big deal to the restaurant. They don’t serve espresso drinks but we went across to the surf shop and ordered some since we had plenty of time waiting for the food to arrive.
This place was my favorite restaurant choice from my trip to Portland! the staff and owner of the restaurant blew us away with their kindness and amazing recommendations for food. all the staff seemed to be helping each other ensure it was a great environment. HIGHLY recommend if you’re looking for a brunch spot with great drinks!
My wife and I have been to Besaws the past two weekends for brunch and it’s been such a wonderful experience both times. This will def be our go to brunch spot! The service is amazing, food is DELICIOUS and drinks are top notch. Every aspect of this beautiful place has been so wonderfully thought out from the gorgeous wallpaper, stunning bar, awesome playlist, flavorful menu to the genuine customer service. Super fun vibes! So happy to have found this perfect gem!
Really good food and great service. Make sure you make a reservation, it’s very busy.
We went to Besaw’s to celebrate a 50th birthday. The atmosphere was great. Our waiter Mohamed was attentive and offered up some great suggestions from the menu. Per his suggestion, I went with the Dungeness Crab Benedict and it was delicious! The chicken and waffles is a huge portion so you get to take home leftovers. Mohamed kept our coffee cups filled and even surprised the table with a plate of churros with caramel dipping sauce. Definitely will come back again.
The brunch was fantastic. Big portions, so if you're with someone, consider sharing a meal. Otherwise, the flavors were incredible, the service was fast and friendly, and we had an overall great experience. It'll be on our list of brunch places to go.
Wow! Loved everything we ordered— cannot wait to come back. Stellar service from the greeting, to ordering, receiving our food to saying goodbye. The staff at Besaws were impressively gracious, welcoming and helpful. Great job!
The five stars goes to the well-executed operations of this restaurant.
A very big praise goes to the staffs' attention, especially Mohamed. Mohamed patiently took the time to review menu and drink options with our party of six. Servers were quick on their feet with menus and dishes. Then at the end, when we ordered dessert, they added a special touch without us needing to ask.
I thought this place was decent. I’d go if friends wanted to go but maybe not seek it out otherwise? Food was pretty good but not knock your socks off good. Atmosphere is lively and music on the loud side, so it was hard to hear my friend talk sometime. Prices and service were reasonable.
Brunch- Monday brunch on the patio was fantastic! Chicken and waffle platter and fried potatoes were way plent for two of us w a good portion to take home later. Brewed decaf is a bonus
