My husband and I came here yesterday after we got off the plane from Vegas. We were very hungry and they did not disappoint. We got a giant mixed platter for 2 so we could try different things. Our favorite by far was the brisket. It literally melted in our mouth. But we also really liked the ribs and chicken as well. The beans and coleslaw are also really good. The only thing we were disappointed in was the sweet corn which wasn't sweet, lacked any flavor at all, and was overcooked and mushy. Everything else was really very good. They've got a great mix of sauces that is sure to have something for everyone. We'll definitely be back.
The food was absolutely perfect. The place has a great atmosphere in the Cascade shopping center. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Portland.
Best bbq in town! The staff is top notch! They have awesome deals on amazing catering, and always something special and delicious to try!
The service is great and the food is better! I thoroughly enjoyed the brisket and others in our party loved the ribs. The grilled pineapple was also delicious! We will be back! I did miss the drunken apples they used to serve.
Ate there today for lunch and was veey satisfied with the food as well the service. Very good brisket! I had the ribs as well and they were excellent.
The building is enormous and seating is expansive. The atmosphere is really well done. I like all of the different items that they hang on the walls definitely gives you something to look at while you’re eating.
The food is great. Service is fast and friendly. I definitely enjoyed my visit and my food while dining there. My chicken was fantastic moist and tasty.
Overall, I feel like famous Dave’s is a fantastic place to bring your family when you want to enjoy some barbecue.
The price point is about right for average, and the portion sizes are quite large

My before & after photos! I give this place overall 4.3 the food was good & worth the pricing ! My steak was Medium well like I asked maybe I’ll go medium rare because it was still a little tough. The CORNBREAD IS ALWAYS GOOD!!!! Didn’t like the collard greens too much IMA MUSTARD GREENS kinda girl they were a little too watery for me. The MACARONI I didn’t believe I would like because it had corn in it but it was actually good. My waitress was nice . Thank you will be back . My hot totti was FOR sme one who likes liquor lol I however don’t so it was a lil too much but overall GOOD PLACE GOOD SERVICE & food
This was a grat. place to hang out with our friends we haven’t seen for a while. Food was great, everyone was satisfied. The portions were big, price affordable, the service good and the waitress super friendly. I got some good extra sauce for my salad, which I loved. Thanks for having us!
I had 6 ribs that were cooked to perfection along with some potato salad, chips, corn muffin and a cold beer. The only negative thing I can say is I'm sorry for not trying this place sooner. The service was great and the atmosphere was good too. I will definitely be back in the near future as Famous Dave's Bar-B-Que has made a repeat customer out of me.
Very good food. Cornbread was very sweet which was. Fresh. Jalapenos on the nachos were very hot. Never trust a fresh pepper 🙂 mac and cheese was a little bland was able to add salt to it and it was fine. Brisket did not taste like it had been cooked on site but was still pretty good. Chicken strips were excellent. You could tell they were very fresh
By far my favorite barbecue restaurant around Portland/ Vancouver area. For the price and quality nothing really compares. I typically get the lunch specials, it’s a great deal! The staff is nice and friendly, the wait time for food is average. Good recommendation for large groups or small they have a huge menu.
Very delicious ribs. Smoke flavor that was not overpowering and really nice crispy skin with super tender rib meat. The bread pudding was magnificent and not overly sweet or wet. Wonder pecan praline sauce and real bean vanilla ice cream. Fantastic service from Jennifer.
Great place to go for some good BBQ food. The service was spot on from the Hosts to our waitress to the bartender. Definitely worth a try.
I'm a first timer. This is a fun place to eat. The ribs were great. Mac and cheese was tasty too. Fries were okay. The sauces were fantastic. Service was good, but a little slow for as empty as the restaurant was. We had to ask for chips, but drinks were refilled before they needed to be. We will be back.
For starters, being seated was quick and easy.
The ambient was great and lively. The service was great. Our host, Seth, was extremely attentive and on point. The food was great. I wouldn't give it a 5 star if I'm completely honest, but for a casual date night or a night out with the family, this would be the spot to hit. Overall, for what we spent, I must say I was satisfied and wasn't hungry at the end of our date. Great food for an affordable price.

Great wings, decent ribs, famous for there Mac and cheese. Excellent beer selection. Recommend you go before the PDX airport for a high calorie delicious meal. Even the salad has extra meat and sauce!
Wonderful BBQ meal before our flight out of Portland. Beth and Jocelyn were wonderful hosts. They made sure to get us a freshly cleaned table, made small talk with us, and were overall very friendly. Our server Brynn was very lovely too. She regularly checked in on us to make sure we were satisfied, was very friendly, and fun to talk too. She was also very helpful with our questions or requests. The food was good classic BBQ. Definitely try out the array of BBQ sauces at each table. The bread pudding was to die for.
Food was pretty good. Our server was nice. I had the grilled plank salmon with red mashed potato and steamed broccoli. Hubby had the Ultimate Burger. We had a party of 10 and everyone ordered something different from the menu. We were all satisfied with our order. We really wanted to sit outside in their outdoor seating but we were told they were short on staff so the outdoor seating was closed.
Excellent food. Pleasant and helpful staff. Excellent selection of beers on tap. I tend to go for the sampler platter and switch up the meats - all of which have been excellent. The collard greens are amazing! Also the catfish fingers!
Be prepared to spend about $100 for two people with drinks.

Understaffed but the staff member that waited on us made sure we had everything we needed. Food is good but don't expect to be blown away. Portions are a good size. If you're in the area it's a solid choice but I wouldn't go out of my way either. It's like going to Red Robin or other chain restaurants, you know what you're getting.
Great selection of BBQ & country style foods. Well prepared. I first became aware of Famous Dave's when I enjoyed their smoked ribs & award winning sauces at the Reno-Sparks Nugget Rib Cookoff several years ago. Their ribs & sauce won top honors.
