Biscuits, the namesake, are definitely 4 star yummy and my choice, The McIsley was very good with stone ground mustard, honey, pickles and chicken. Like a Chik Fila on steroids.

Was disappointed they had no cold brew or regular roast coffee at 1030 AM on a Tuesday morning. Not a fan if the Acid Test coffee I had to settle on.

Service was a tad slow at the beginning for some strange reason as well and the line kept growing farther down the way.

In and outdoor seating, outside family style at picnic tables. Not a big fan of self bussing for these prices and no table wipe down evident.

Around $60 for family of five.

The Smith's playing in the background, an eclecticly styled staff, Stumptown coffee, and decadent eats...
We had the corn dog, Reggie deluxe, pecan pie, and apple butter biscuit- dining here two out of the three days we were in Portland. A must!!

The bed-and-breakfast we were staying at did not provide us with a sufficient breakfast, as we needed something more substantial since we were going to be burning off calories exploring the areas outside Portland. The Pine State biscuits was located less than 2 miles from our B&B and provided the answer.

The bed-and-breakfast we were staying did not provide us with a sufficient breakfast, and we needed something more substantial since we were going to be exploring the areas outside Portland. The Pine State Biscuits was located less than 2 miles from our B&B.

Located on the corner of SE division and SE. 11th Ave., is this popular breakfast place. We arrived a little after 9:00 AM on a Thursday, and we were quite lucky that we not only found street parking, but the place was not very full. The place isn't very large, and there's indoor / covered outdoor seating.

Upon walking in, there's a sign that said to place your order first and then sit down. There were so many choices. We finally narrowed it down and here's what we got :

The Reggie, a fried chicken sandwich and bacon inside a biscuit. It also came with cheese, but I omitted mine.
The Moneyball, a biscuit and sausage gravy covered with a fried egg
And a regular biscuit covered in gravy with an added sausage patty in the middle.

With three coffees, our breakfast came to $27.

We were lucky to find a table in the covered patio, as the inside was completely full. The food came out quickly, and our biscuit sandwiches were delicious. Those sandwiches were perfect, and kept us going while we went to explore the waterfalls just outside Portland.

I've been here a ton, especially when family or friends come in town to visit, and every time I find myself getting the same thing. The Chatfield will change your life 😳. Great staff, great food, and cool rotating art displays on the walls. The line gets pretty long, but it moves fast...welcome to Portland.

At Pine State Biscuits, you can enjoy their classic biscuit sandwiches--plus a few other favorites--at a discount during happy hour. It's only available Thursday through Sunday (because they close early the rest of the week) but offered during the late afternoon (3 to 6 PM) and again from 10 until they close. Happy Hour discounts apply to food AND drinks.

Great Find for a neighborhood breakfast. Referred to Pine State Biscuit by the concierge at the hotel, a great recommendation. Easy parking on the street out front. Very nice and helpful staff, great suggestions. The food was fresh, hot and well prepared, very low key. Good portions for the price.

Was busy but not over crowded on a Saturday late morning. Fast service. We ordered pancakes, we were told they are made from scratch and take 15 minutes. They were, they did and they were worth the wait.

A happy find, I'll be back.

Delicious chicken biscuit! The food is a bit heavy if you eat the whole biscuit in one sitting. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend coming here

The deluxe Reggie tasted great though the chicken and bacon were a little dry/tough. The biscuits themselves were wonderful and the gravy had good flavor. The coffee was not the best. Overall, it was good but not necessarily worth $14 ($18 if you count the coffee) for me.

First time getting brunch and it was really hard to pick 1 thing. So we got 4. 🤣🤷‍♀️ I got the hash with brisket, cheese and egg on it, side of fried tomatoes and the wife got a side of hash browns and a biscuit with jelly. Mimosas and coffee. Everything was delicious 😋 I can't wait for our next visit. We did have about a 30min wait at 1145 on a Sunday. So plan ahead.

We had to wait about 10 minutes to place our order but it was so worth it. As a biscuit aficionado I was blown away by the golden crust and fluffy center. The filling choices for the sandwich are all mouth-watering making it hard to choose. We enjoyed eating on the outdoor patio on the corner. The staff was super busy due and all so kind.

Such a great find! Food was exceptional. Wasn’t what we expected. Biscuits we’re definitely amazing and the place was pretty packed. Bloody Mary was great and the biscuits and gravy was killer.

Came here for breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed their delicious, fluffy biscuits. We found parking in a nearby paid lot and made our way to the restaurant. There was a bit of a line, but the ~15min wait was worth it. I don't think I've had a better biscuits than the ones they make here. I ordered myself a Reggie deluxe, and it was delicious. My only gripe is that the chicken was a little dry today, but I was able to overlook that with the help of some sausage gravy. We also tried their biscuit with apple butter, and that was easily the highlight of the meal. I think if I came another time, I'd steer away from the chicken and choose something else. Come here if you're looking for some perfect biscuits!

The Reggie Deluxe was on fire (to those not familiar with today's slang, it means good, great, delicious, or any other positive descriptor you could think of)! Be careful when biting into it. I had to deconstruct the sandwich because eating it any other way seemed impossible without making a mess. This isn't related to the restaurant, but it's on a one way and sometimes you'd be stuck there for a few minutes due to the train track. Plan accordingly and bring a board game to play in your car while you wait.

My dad got a comical amount of ranch and lettuce in his club sandwich. The sandwich and the plate were doused in ranch and he got half a head of lettuce which he took out and proceeded to eat like a steak. Other than that the food was great!

Good was good, very creative. Service was friendly and fast. Atmosphere was great. We went at an of peak time and the was allot of space but still there were a decent amount of people. I went with people who knew about this place from a Reno location but I had never been. I would recommend trying their home made pop tart things. It just seems like they are a million calories but very good. Overall recommended and we will be going back

This was the best biscuits and gravy I've ever had. The hash browns were also really great. My girl really liked her bloody mary as well. As for the biscuit sammies, they're practically impossible to eat without them falling apart. But even so, with a fork and knife, you can consume them well enough, and they are also crazy good. Or hell, go at it with your hands if you feel like it. You're gonna love it either way.

Food was for the most part delicious. Personally I found their vegetarian Reggie and vegetarian mushroom gravy to be much more enjoyable and wowing than the normal (chicken) Reggie and sausage gravy. Service was good and atmosphere was nice. 4 stars because they charged $1 for some ranch to go with the fries I ordered and because the beignets were oddly hard (literally my fork had a tough time piercing them, causing powdered sugar and cinnamon to go everywhere). The bourbon caramel that came with the beignets tasted wonderful though!

It was a little cold inside. Went for our 1st time and wasn't sure about where we could sit. Parking is not that great. It's really a nice idea and different than what I would usually get for brunch. The freshly made marionberry cinnamon roll was on point.

I came here for breakfast with a friend and the biscuit sandwiches were delicious and huge! It was a very filling start to the day, my only complaint is the food service is very slow but we didn’t mind waiting a bit.

Super tasty and filling biscuits. We got one of the chicken ones and one of the veggie ones. Prices are pretty standard for a breakfast spot. You won't leave hungry.

We got the shrimp and grits, Reggie deluxe and a blood Mary. The shrimp and grits were alright, not very flavorful. The Reggie deluxe was amazing with the sausage gravy. The Bloody Mary would have been better if there was not so much seasoning in it. I would take a mouth full of seasoning with each drink. I did not end up finishing it but overall it was a good meal.

Delicious all around. I have a hard time trusting bloody’s, but they’re are claimed as award winning so I gave it a shot. It was perfectly balanced and delicious. The hash browns are cooked perfectly with being flat and crispy, and seasoned! The moneyball with mushroom gravy is big and delicious. Pleanty of food packed full for flavor.

While the wait was long with a holiday weekend, all five of us agreed it was well worth it!! The Reggie was a hands down favorite, the gravy was incredible, as were the flaky biscuits. Also, the best hash browns we’ve ever had! Just the perfect amount of crispiness and flavor. If you’re looking for a little sweet, the Apple Butter on the Chatfield is a great sweet and salty combination. Definitely worth a visit!
