Great spot for some good quality sushi. The ratio of rice to fish in the nigiri is spot on. The staff are friendly and helpful. Probably want to arrive before the dinner rush. It can get a little expensive ordering individual nigiri’s so make use of the chefs specials to get more for your money!

The cozy restaurant’s on the upstairs nearby Vans store in downtown Portland. Premium sushi, friendly service but the menu is not always available, I wanted some oysters like pictures on Google unfortunately they are not. Overall, we had good experience for the first time.

I guess it is one of the best sushi in town! The snack is not crazy so a perfect fit for me. The atmosphere is very impressive. Would recommend eating here during sunset.

Probably some of the best sushi we’ve ever had! We got 2 rolls and the karaage. Got a reservation online Saturday afternoon which is the way to go on a Weekend night. We’ll definitely be back.

Amazing service, great and creative interior, very delicious sashimi, fish is super fresh. Kale salad is super yummy. Tuna tataki is incredibly tender! Antonio the best sushi maker!

Amazing sushi and dining experience. The service was exceptional and it was a great atmosphere for a date night. I highly recommend checking this place out, it's a short walk from Powells Books.

Great sushi restaurant, try to get sushi bar seat to have a nice conversation with the chef. All of the fish is fresh and delicious. Mt Saint Helens sushi is a must, and try to taste as many nigiris as you can.

Now I am NOT a person that would consider himself a sushi person, but this is not the first time I’ve been here. That being said this IS the first time I came here without the hibachi. So before I go into the rest of the review, let me just say, please bring back the hibachi. That being said… It was really very good, Death by Sushi was the most memorable, the fire was sexy and I missed grabbing a photo before it went out, however, definitely had some swag. The service was great, attentive helpful without being too present. Concrete walls carried sound so some areas were harder to hear in but all in all a great experience that I recommend to all those sushi lovers and non. I did not need a reservation but seating without a reservation was limited.
