Visited Boxer Ramen this past weekend. The establishment is very small and very well decorated. We were party of 3 and were seated at a very small table by the corner of the establishment. The menu is very small. We ordered the spicy red miso ramen. It was sooo good and spicy. We also ordered the tater tots appetizer. The appertizer is served in a small cast iron dish to keep the tater tots crispy. I highly recommend boxer ramen to all ramen aficionados out there. However, if you are going to go in a large party, be prepared to wait a bit for a bigger table or be a bit cramped.

Has a good taste of authentic Japanese ramen with many options to customize your meal with such as extra egg or noodles and the sides are very great the toys taste amazing and I love the fish flakes. Bowls cost about $12-13 I believe but are a great place to visit for a meal.

Delicious meal in the cutest establishment in downtown. I highly recommend the tots and spicy pork (we had them add veggies). And yes, you can take your leftovers to go despite the puppy sign on the wall :) our server was very personable and efficient.

Did all the highlights, and was impressed with everything. My wife loved it all and she's a bit of ramen critic, well so am I. But broth is amazing, do much depth of flavor. It captures the true umami of a good ramen shop. There's some unusual riffs on traditional stuff, but they do not mess with the ramen at all. It's true to form. The servers are ...well .. very into their tattoos and hipster haircuts but not as snobby as .... a blue bottle barista let's say.... Overall great experience, would highly recommend for families, couples, anyone that loves ramen!!

I've been wanting to check out ramen bowls for quite some time. I live in Gresham but knew the potentially best places where downtown. Boxer Ramen posted up with the most positive postings. I drove downtown, pickup my friend, we both were very satisfied with boxer ramen. Very good.

So, here’s the thing: I really love ramen. Like, for real. I go to other cities with friends and find the ramen spots. It’s the thing I enjoy doing. I don’t claim to be an expert, but I’m opinionated and I like food. Boxer just has something that no other ramen spot does. The egg is so soft and you can mix it right in to the broth. The noodles are just better than anywhere else. The broth? The pork? Omg. Like, it’s all just good. I’ve never had a bad customer service experience here either. I used to stop by the Alberta one so often that the staff still know my order when I see them. Anyway, I like other places. Ryoma is good, Afuri is fine, but Boxer is my jam. Get the spicy miso. The greens and sesame are pretty good also. I’m not sure I’ve ever eaten mushrooms with almonds, but here we are. The pork buns are good, the gyoza has these really good pickled carrots. The tonkotsu is also good. Try all the ramen, everywhere, but if you get a chance, go to Boxer. I love them.

Best ramen in pdx! We go here often and are never disappointed. The spicy red miso is an amazing combo of flavor and heat (but perhaps a little too mild to be called spicy for my palate), and the soft boiled eggs are so good we always get an extra. The greens and sesame is our go to side with its sour twang and subtle walnut crunch.

Had to wait a bit, but it was well worth it. Never had a better bowl of ramen. And the atmosphere was really cute and cozy. Staff was really nice and helpful. And servings were nice and big. Definitely recommend this place for a quick dinner.

Tried the okonomiyaki tots, they were pretty but kind of disappointing, I was hoping for more of an okonomiyaki flair/flavor. The ramen though was perfect and delicious. Definitely satisfied my craving and I even had a little extra for lunch the next day.

Boxer is my favorite ramen spot in portland. Fast, good, cheap, and consistent. Their sides are great if you have a few people (I recommend the tater tots) and their staff is super friendly. Be warned that it's a pretty compact place so you'll probably sit next to someone else (hardly ever a bad experience) and you'll have to wave down the staff usually since they're running around between all of the tables. Great for a quick and tasty lunch though! Pro tip: beware of pepper at the bottom of your bowl, it'll choke you out.

Good service. We had the pot stickers to start. They were good and crispy. They have a small menu. Both ramen bowls we tried were excellent. The food came out extremely quick. We will definitely be back.

Location is very interesting and appetizers are delightful. The tonkotsu shio ramen broth is very light and easy on the digestive system. Great spot to go if you want to satisfy your ramen craving.

Exceptional. The spicy miso was great -- it had just the right amount of complexity and heat, and the egg was perfect. They now accept cards too. Stop by here for Ramen when you're in town and you won't be disappointed.

Delicious ramen and a chill environment. I had the tonkotsu ramen and the okonomiyaki tots which were bursting with flavor! I only give it four instead of five stars because it doesn’t quite compare to my all time favorite joint in Northern Virginia.

I didn't expect but it was really good ramen. But woman staff makes me feel hurry like "eat quikly and move on" and looks busy chatting with guys in the kitchen.

Best lunch I've had in a long time. Had the curry coconut base ramen with broccolini, mushrooms, scallions. It was amazing. Service was very sweet. This is the perfect lunch spot!!
