Bertie Lou's Cafe - Portland - Photo album

Biked here with a couple of my buddies and had breakfast here. We arrived around 9:30a and were able to get a table outside. I got the waffle with two eggs over easy with sausage. It was good. My friends both got an egg scramble and really liked theirs. A bummer of being outside were the pesky horne
One of the best breakfast spots in Portland. Charming staff, great value for money, and just quaint, cozy, and welcoming. So happy to have Bertie Lou’s in the neighborhood! … scratch that… so happy to be in Bertie Lou’s neighborhood! :)
Must go!!! Breakfast, brunch/ lunch restaurant!! Absolutely heartwarming staff! Fantastic, home-cooked food! Reasonable prices and portions of food! Fun loving neighborhood!
Great hole in the wall place, service was quick and hilarious. The napkin wall art is unique and menus are quirky and funny. The place is small but there is outdoor seating.
They do an amazing job for being tiny and as busy as they were. Service was a little slow, but staff was friendly and helpful and the food was great. Worth a stop
Very good biscuits and gravy. Benedicts are remarkable too. A very busy place, so expect a little wait.
Obsessed with the place. Old school diner vibes with amazing food at an unbeatable price.
Imagine this; it’s your first time visiting Portland, you wanna experience the best things the city has to offer. For me, personally, I always search for the best food joints because that’s how I like to experience a new city. Now imagine, it’s Sunday morning, the hottest day of the year, you’re g
Honest, quirky establishment with good quality food for a real decent price. They’ve been in business since 1943 and they are always a full house. Best to come here for breakfast. Sit at the counter or wait for a table. Plenty of free parking out front. Nice picnic size tables for 4 outside, of the
Nice breakfast selections. Several varieties of eggs Benedict. It is a small old time diner. Outside tables are available.
You're tired; you lost sleep worrying about the world last night. You walk into an incredibly cozy café with the friendliest waitress in the world (who was apparently a regular for 8 years and wound up getting hired as a result), in addition to singing a little Sheryl Crow with said waitress and ano
My new favorite brunch place. Just wow!!! We got soooo much food and it came out fast, too. Also this place wasn’t crazy packed like most brunch spots in Portland. We arrived around 10ish, got a nice spot in the shade, and pigged out. All the staff were super friendly, too. We’ll definitely be back!
Adorable, no-nonsense breakfast spot with shockingly fast service and delicious options (breakfast burrito is amazing!)
Great local restaurant. Service was great fast and efficient.
Much respect for the cooks at this little diner. And when I say tiny, wait til you go inside. These guys were great company while I ate there, great FoH too! While I enjoyed everything here, I just wasn't a fan of the country potatoes. I'll still come back though!
This diner is a great place with really good food. I went for breakfast, the first customer of the day was I. The coffee was fresh and tasted great. Way above your typical diner coffee. I had chicken fried steak with the home fries. It was different, in a good way. There was paprika on the gravy, wh
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bertie Lou's Caffe and I was blown away by the incredible breakfast options on offer. The fetch toast was especially noteworthy – it was cooked to perfection and had an amazing flavor. The cafe itself is small and intimate, with a cozy atmosphere that made fo
Been eating here for 15 years. The specials are creative and yummy. Love the bookman! Actually all the Benedicts are amazing. Good vegetarian choices. Can't beat the price or the deliciousness
