Loved the atmosphere, the Nordic Center is a beautiful building with fun activities to check out such as the Finnish Christmas Service that was going on when we were there. Awesome service even though there was a wait for a table. However we found the food to be a bit lackluster. Part of our family is Scandinavian so I'm familiar with these dishes and it just wasn't quite there.

Aside from the food just steps away this wonderful adventure. The food is divine. An amazing food selection. I had this lovely salad with spiced pears, greens, goat cheese, blueberries and salmon. Our server was energetic and spot on helpful in our menu selection. The atmosphere is casual and relaxing. Bring your mom, your dad, your best friends and all will feel welcomed.

The Danish pancakes were great. Kind of like a doughnut and pancake ball. Also the troll is just outside in the village. We also got some Swedish meatballs with mushrooms for take out that were yum. Bit of a wait even on a late weekday morning and on the higher end for price

This was such a refreshing and decadent dining experience for us. This is located in Nordic Northwest. We arrived late morning on a Sunday so it was very busy and the wait was an hour. (Worth it)! We got on the list, explored the art, gift shop, and don't miss the giant troll installation! We got the Lefse breakfast, Æbleskiver, raggmunk, and shaved ham benedict. The Æbleskiver are Danish pancakes served with lingonberry jam and lemon curd... so light and delish. The lefse was incredible... like so flavorful. They are kind of like tortilla/crepes filled with lovely veggies on what seemed like a pepper coulis that just boosted everything. The square eggs were fun and perfectly cooked. I was in heaven... The shaved ham benedict was fabulous. My partner doesn't usually like vinaigrette and he couldn't get enough of this. The sourdough was hearty and didn't get mushy. The bearnaise with Dijon will melt you. He almost licked that plate clean. This will be a favorite and there are others: Broder Nord in Portland and Broder Öst in Hood River. Thank you for the memorable experience!

I enjoyed the köttbullar (Swedish meatballs in sherry cream with lingonberry jam), and a potato pancake. The service was excellent and my friend enjoyed her corned beef hash as well. We sat outside and the tables were spaced far enough apart so that people weren’t on top of each other. Make sure to check out the gift shop too.

Third time coming and each dining experience has been exceptional! Excellent food and service. Danish pancakes are a must for the side. Great spot to bring guests from out of time, or with friends and family.

The vegetable hash was incredible. So flavorful! Also really enjoyed the Visiting Cake. People I was with liked the Fish smorgasbord and the meatballs as well. The marzipan matcha latte was sweet and delicious and the masala Chai latte was great too. The wait was an hour but the grounds were lovely to walk and visit the troll statue. No outdoor seating right now due to yellowjackets.

Excellent, authentic Scandinavian fare is the hallmark of this culinary gem, inside the Nordia House near Washington Square. Mostly breakfast but also a few sandwiches very much with trying. Don't leave with tasting the aebleskivers, the classic spherical fried dough or pancake. The menu, food quality, service and setting are all top-notch. Waits occasionally are long, but it is worth it. (Though they don't take reservations, it's worth calling ahead to see how long the wait is -- we got lucky with a 10-minute wait only.)

During our adventure at the Nordic Festival, we stopped in here for food and drinks. The food was delicious and authenticly Nordic. The staff were very friendly and wearing custom Nordic clothing. The Nordic Festival was laid out in a beautiful wooded setting. There were plenty of activities for adults and children with opportunities to sample drinks, taste a variety of Nordix food and learn about the culture. Couldn't be happier we went to this festival and had the opportunity to enjoy the cuisines and culture.

It’s one of the Broders and this one is located in Raleigh Hills. It is in a large structure of Swedish House. It has nice outside seating looking out to their big yard. Nice mimosas, and strong coffee, life is good here.

Such a memorable experience. The smorgasborg was an amazing selection, I've always wanted to try pickled herring and it was a delight! The staff was warm and informative. Love this for a unique and quality dining experience. I also tried the mimosa and the mushroom coffee mocha. Best mimosa I've ever had, very light.

We visited during the Midsummer Festival so our experience wasn't a tradition restaurant stop. Located inside the Nordic Northwest. Food was very pricey but delicious. Service was great, atmosphere is really cool. Worth a stop for the festival or otherwise.

Amazing food! Always recommend getting abelskeivers and theirs are just perfect. Lemon curd is punchy and perfect. Can't wait to go back and try more savory items.

Never disappoints. Great, simple, comforting food in a relaxing environment. I appreciate the calm quiet vibe. The food arrived quickly but don't expect to rush through a meal. Definitely a place to savor, taste everything and enjoy good conversations. Recommend weekdays if you can make it since the cafe is smaller and cozy. Went on a Tuesday morning, very easy to get a table. Definitely busier on the weekends.

Beautiful modern café-style dining room with a large warm-weather patio is inviting and comfortable without falling into the hygge trap. Service is old-school excellent. How nice to be greeted and shown to your table, even after the weekend waitlist. Servers know the menu and are professional and friendly throughout. I had the chèvre salad with salmon option and kötbullar side. The salad was impeccable, with fresh greens with slices of pear and golden beet, and toasted hazelnut pieces for crunch. The panko-breaded goat cheese was bursting with flavor from fresh herbs, which sent the salad over the top. The perfectly cooked seared salmon fillet sealed the deal for my hungry tummy. The kötbullar was expertly prepared and the potato and lingonberry jam complemented the salad well. Those around me on the nearly full late-summer patio, dates and families alike, appeared to enjoy the nordic-oriented specialties and drinks that make up the bulk of the menu. I look forward to visiting in cooler weather to try heartier food, coffee and chocolate drinks and even a flight of aquavit.

Very relaxing setting, almost coffee house vibes. Great music throughout the whole dining experience with great selections to choose from on their menu. All of our food had great presentation. Loads of color and variety of dishes used.
