Basilisk - Portland - Photo album

Best chicken sandwich ever! The guy at the front was super helpful and nice! He said the fried chicken sandwich was delicious and he wasn’t kidding. We only paid 4.50 for fries and it fed both me and my fiancé! Amazing chicken and the best seasoned fries I will defiantly be back! Super affordable ho
If this company ever decides to change their name, Simply Tasty would be a good alternative. It's affordable and hits the spot. I was able to get 3 items (fried chicken sandwich, fries, and Mac and Cheese) for all under 22 dollars including tip! In this environment, that's absolutely unheard of. Tha
It’s been a while since I had incredible fried chicken and Basilisk delivered! I ordered the Hot Chicken Plate and chatted with the staff about the spice level which they perfectly described. It’s hotter than jalapeño but less hot than habanero. It was so delicious! And flavorful. I love spicy food
There are very few places in the *world* who get their fried chicken just right. It has to be the right combination of crispy from the outside, yet tender and juicy when you take that bite, and Basilisk has really cracked the code to achieving that. I try fried chicken almost everywhere I go.. and
Holy S**T! This place has THE BEST AND MOST SPICIEST fired chicken I have ever had!!!! The beyond perfect crust of the succulent juicy chicken crunches and cracks with just the right amount of teeth pressure, don’t even get me started on the sauces or the cold slaw stuff on the sandwich! For 12 buck
Delicious! The chicken sandwich is big enough for two people. Sometimes we get the salad and the Dan Dan fries. Everything is excellent. We sit in the pay dirt bar which is really comfortable. Come here at least once a month.
Basilisk is a wonderful chicken restaurant, ha. This place rocks, they have the best fried chicken, they best chicken salads and the happiest employees in the building. There is never really a wait, so the food is ready pretty quickly, which makes us happy because we have a kid, and he always wants
Crispy Chicken Sandwich. Dan Dan Fries were great. I thought the plate would have more chicken/ bigger pieces of chicken but it was delicious either way. Not very spicy but I have a high tolerance. They have Frank's hot sauce on the side which pairs great.
This was such a good spot. We were craving fried chicken sandwiches and this place delivered. The fried chicken sandwich was so good and the fries were so flavorful. Great spot for kids too.
Definitely check this one out! Chicken sandwich is awesome and one of the best in Portland for size and value. There’s no sauce on it so it’s dry unless you add some.
It’s on the pricier side of chicken sandwiches but well worth the cash. Chicken was very crispy, I opted for the spicy option and it was the perfect blend of heat and flavor. The fries were crispy and well seasoned. We came on a Monday afternoon and the atmosphere was quiet and cozy in the communal
Definitely a worthy Portland foodie experience, it's all about the chicken sandwich. Yummy 😋. It's also located in a cool food court so you can get drinks at the bar and lots of other yum yums.
Omg I was truly impressed....the chicken sandwich was so freaking juicy and delicious. I think the fries was overpriced so I'll do without those next time. The pickled cucumbers were pretty tasty also. I totally recommend this place ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Their fried chicken is seriously something... easy to say they have the best fried chicken salad I’ve ever had. Incredibly flavorful, juicy and perfectly crunchy. The sandwich is simple yet stacked literally and flavorfully. They have an awesome outdoor seating area with plenty of shading on those r
Dan dan fries, amazing. Watch out for cilantro if it tastes like soap to you. Fried chick Sammie super crispy but not dry, slaw not overdressed. Baerlic beer in cans. Def worth the trip!!
We've had Basilisk on our "To Visit" list for a while now. Happy to have crossed it off our list. They've got a small menu consisting of Fried Chicken Sandwich, Fried Tofu Sandwich, Fried Chicken Plate, DanDan Fries, and Salad. With a limited menu they do these items well! We tried the Chicken San
Awesome sandwiches! We ordered the chicken and the tofu and both were great. Not sure what magic they perform on the tofu to get the breading so crunchy, but it's amazing. The dandan fries were also fantastic.
Best. Fried. Chicken. The spice level, the bun, the slaw. If you’ve never been here, you need to come.
Not bad but not amazing. The chicken was good, sauce was good. Neither were like, OMG SO GOOD. Just good. I didn’t like the coleslaw or the macaroni salad. Both lacked a lot of flavor. The coleslaw had a weird after taste and was just slaw veggies (NOT pickled) with some sort of ranch dressing (too
