The People's Pig - Portland - Photo album

Awesome, 2 thumbs up. Portions are big, great prices, well crafted flavors. The fried chicken was juicy and tender, great spice and breading, and not full of bones which just adds more value. The lamb was well cooked and flavorful. The fresh pork rinds are crispy. I had the porchetta sandwich which
By far one of the best BBQ joints in Portland! My husband votes for it to be #1! I can see why it one of the nation's best Smoked Fried Chicken sandwiches. The chicken is juicy and incredibly tasty! The ribs had a great smoke and I loved the BBQ sauces. Cornbread and potato salad are also worth tryi
The smoked fried chicken was definitely the highlight! Brisket was on the dry side, and the barbeque sauce was... different (vinegary and heavily spiced with cumin, I think?). But the cornbread was good and came drizzled with honey, and the pepper jelly was pretty great. Service was quick and frien
This place is super legit... I got the smoked deep fried chicken sandwich which was excellent. My girlfriend got the brisket sandwich which I ended up waking up a few times in the middle of the night wishing I got that sandwich... Next time for sure!!! For sides we had some super cheesy mac and chee
So good. Stopped on the way to airport out and got two meat and side plate. Huge portions. Brisket is delicious. Sausage was good, little dry. Mac and cheese amazing. Best bbq in Portland.
Best BBQ I've had in a looooooong time, and that includes stops in Texas. The smoked fried chicken took me to a different planet. Brisket was fantastic as well. The plates here are BIG, so come hungry!
We wanted authentic American food and that's what we got. It was really good and the meat was so tender. We could taste the experienced hands in our food. Definitely a must go in portland.
What a hidden gem of a place this was. The guys were so polite and you can tell they care about what they do and the community they serve. Food was insane and the vibe of the outdoor seating area was on point. Can't wait to go back.
Texan first taste of Oregon BBQ. Had to start with the brisket sandwich. Good portions and tasted great. I also sampled the fried chicken sandwich. I will need to return and try more items. Their BBQ sauce is a lil sweet for me. So skipped that but some may prefer that.
Drove by this place and saw a line out the door. Bought the 2 meat COMBO and cornbread. O. M. G. First the cornbread with honey knocked my socks off. The honey is divine. The pork shoulder was my favorite. So juicy and full of flavor. Oh and the service was top knotch. Thank you for making our t
Very impressive little place! The food here is amazing. My favorite was the brisket. This will definitely be one of my go to spots for happy hour.
You know the food is good when you “clean your plate” and are sad it’s all gone. The pork shoulder, brisket, macaroni salad, corn bread and black eyed peas were my favorite. More on the macaroni salad - you see, I don’t really like mayonnaise and therefore usually avoid macaroni salad, but GIRL, G
Pick the Pig, it's a squealing deal!(sorry) The bbq smoke seeps into every corner of this dining diamond. The ambiance subtly screams amazing bbq joint and the food echoes that. We ordered a variety of meats and sides and everything met the expectations you'd have, but the chicken thighs surprised u
Very affordable happy hour from 3pm-6pm. The smoked fried chicken is the best fried chicken I have had in Portland, possibly in my life. The ribs and black eyed peas were great, and everything was seasoned so well, that it was difficult to decide if I even wanted to use the fantastic jalapeno jelly
I may Not be the best to review bbq since I don’t always eat it everywhere I go. But with that said, THIS place really hits the spot! From the straight up 1970’s decor to the casual “eat on a tray” serving style, People’s Pig delivers a great experience! Pork shoulder was so tasty! The beans were th
Very good BBQ. We had the pork shoulder, ribs and beef brisket. All were really good. Loved the collared greens
I can understand why this very popular establishment has survived and thrived, spanning generations of real down-home BBQ lovers. Pork off the bone, ribs on the bone, chicken and lamb. Cole slaw, potato salad, macaroni salad, sweet tea made right there. They even bake their own sandwich buns. I star
