Clay's Smokehouse Grill - Portland - Photo album

Dropped by in the afternoon for a quick bite to eat. Service was good and friendly. Had two cheese burgers and fries for $10, delicious. My husband had a craft IPA and I had a couple of crushed vodka drinks. All sound great place. Would love to see it when it's pumping.
The food at the new location was as great as I remember it to have always been. So happy Clay’s has reopened on Division; the new place has a casual and fun feel, they have a wonderful outdoor patio, which I will try when it’s over 40 degrees out. The fantastically delicious BBQ, the nice 6 tap draf
Food was exceptional. Staff tries hard but seemed a bit scatter-brained. Had multiple orders forgotten and never placed. Luckily, the entrees made up for it. Special chicken sandwich with fired pickles was a must have. Will definitely go back.
Wonderful lunch special brisket bowl $10: house smoked brisket on a bed of beans and rice. Add house salsa, lettuce and cheese. The day just got so much better
Casual bbq joint in SE. Great patio, decent happy hour deals, and delicious food. Very attentive servers. I had the jalapeño pineapple wings and they are delicious.
It's back! The sauce is tomato-ey and vinegar-ey, with little (if any) sugar. The new location is beautiful. I'm looking forward to warm weather for eating out front.
I got the beef brisket. It was juicy and tasted great. The side of potatoes and baked beans was also good. My wife got the pork lion sandwich and it was decent. Overall very good. They also have good beer selection. Definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting to get their BBQ fix.
The service is friendly and efficient. The decor is charming. The food is great. I had the pork loin sandwich with blue cheese and apple sauce. It was tender, moist and flavorful. My husband had the barbeque beef. It must have been perfect because he didn't have to request more sauce. We will return
Well I can say 100% the ribs were tender as heck! My pork sandwich was delicious but I wish I would of got the applesauce spread. I love the fact there was blue cheese crumbles, my favorite. I am also pleased they used red potatoes instead of french fries. The food came real fast, which is good b
We ate here on a Sunday afternoon 1-12-14. I ordered the Combo Platter and my wife ordered the Brisket Platter. Our reasons for a 5 of 5 Stars is because the food was delicious and tender. The waitress and the cooks were very friendly and greeted us when we walked in and when we left. Hearing a "Tha
Clay's is back and it has been worth the wait. Their BBQ is of the smoked and sauced variety and is top notch. The new location is just across the street from their old one. Unlike many BBQ places in town, they have some great Vegetarian and Vegan options. Place has a fun vibe that the whole fami
Ate here for lunch today, and it was delicious. I had the 'fantastic' Baby Back Ribs! Just the way I like them; fall off the bone when bitten into, and enough sauce but not too much. I would have liked the macaroni and cheese more if it would have been creamier. I highly recommend this place for BBQ
AMAZING food and drinks! The staff is genuinely friendly, the Bar Tender Andrew is incredibly skilled and it has a very laid back atmosphere. We had the brisket and it was the best brisket I've ever had, no joke! Highly reccomend to anyone looking to eat some tasty BBQ and wanting to have a uniquely
I am SO glad they've reopened! This is as good or better than their previous place, if you happen to remember it as a staple of the neighborhood. If not, all good too. The smoked ribeye is a new menu item and maybe one of the tastiest steaks I've ever eaten. Wings, ribs, mac, cornbread with maple bu
Lovely staff. Improved from the previous location as they have a larger dining room and full bar. Very consistent food. More saucy than smoky bbq. Wish they had beef ribs. But very good.
