First time in Portland, stumbled upon this place as it was one of the only places open after midnight... crazy cool vibe... the staff was really awesome. We asked our server what his fave thing to eat was and he totally steered us in the right direction with the chicken fried steak, gravy, potatoes and eggs. And a pint of hot chocolate! It was sinful.
Read the menu when you sit down! It's so funny... the food names are super creative.
I HIGHLY recommend stopping in!
The best breakfast around, giant servings and the staff there is always friendly no matter if you're there in the AM or PM. I try to go there whenever I'm downtown.
You can't hate a diner with a menu full of snark guaranteed to make you laugh even before you have coffee. Speaking of coffee a whole personal pot so you don't have to wait for a refill. Breakfast all day and into the wee hours. Pancakes the size of the plate. Went there twice this trip and will return.
Clearly a Portland institution. Very good breakfast, great atmosphere, friendly service by April. A must when in Portland Fucking Oregon (their motto not mine!)
I have tried only 5 or so menu choices and kee0 getting the same dishes every visit they are that good. Hashbrowns gravy and eggs good. Coffee drinks good. Biscuits good, everything good. Still have yet to try the chicken fried steak that they keep telling me i should try so its propably really good. Its alot of food for fair prices, my buddy gets the bacon sausage ham dishes and has said its thr best in town too as well.
Fantastic atmosphere. Fun menu, very entertaining. Great staff.
I had the biscuits and gravy and it was great. I loved the portion size.
Our waitress was wonderful! Loved her sense of humor
Food was delish! Thanx for accommodating my daughters' "breakfast burrito" request
We love this place and visit every time we go to Portland. The staff is wonderful and the food is always good anytime of day or night. Thanks for being there for us and we look forward to next time. 💜
The Roxy has always been on of my favorite places to eat. The employees there don't treat you like any other customer. They make you feel like you are amongst friends and family. Not to mention that the food is excellent and the portions will leave you extremely satisfied.
The best place in eat downtown. PERIOD
Such a great divey greasy spoon! But not in the "gross! I'm not sitting there!" way. Great atmosphere, I bet those walls have a TON of stories. Great service & awesome food! I had breakfast & my wife had the burger and we both loved it.

Love this place! The Totchos are amazing! I highly recommend them!
We came to the Roxy and got bent!!! Lol
Came to experience the inclusive and quirky atmosphere I had heard about for myself and I was NOT disappointed! We ate outside where the street is blocked off and decorated with vibrant colors. The menu had hilarious cheeky and sardonic names and the food was all BEYOND delicious! The indoor decor is a juxtaposition of eras and niches.
We were served by Mark and AL and they were both super friendly and efficient. I cannot wait to go again next time I visit!
I try to eat here at least once or twice a week. Cool place to relax. Plus it's been my absolute favorite restaurant for the past 16 years. I don't care what anyone else says about The Roxy. They have a five-star wait staff and the same goes for the cooks. It's been the same every time I go there. Those who give a bad rating must be some sad human beings. I sure do miss Mikey, he was one of my favorite servers!
Always a pleasure. Perfect Portland quirk, great food and endless coffee for all. The best part is that this spot is NOT one of those “wait for two hours for brunch “ spots. It’s a local gem, definitely not your church going Friend’s Diner.
Unique place. Fried food is good (poo pop platter) and portion is better than enough. People there are friendly.
This restaurant is so eclectic and weird, but in a good way. They have this pink and purple trippy lighting, and it felt amazing after a few ciders (which i had somewhere else before, they don’t serve alcohol). The best thing is they serve breakfast all day. I wanted something light, so I chose the grits, they were so silky and buttery. Our server, Spectrum, was amazing. Huge selection of sandwiches, pancakes, burgers etc. And it is one of the historic, “weird” restaurants of the Pearl, Portland. Everyone should definitely check this out.
We went for breakfast and it was delicious. The waiter was so nice and friendly and the food amazing. They have a cool vibe and fun menu. I had the pork chops with apple sauce and it was so good.
Great breakfast with tons of cheese! I got the two egg breakfast with cheese and a side of grits with cheese. The portions are plentiful and I certainly didn’t need that much. However, I took it home and ate it all. The food was great the service matched and the atmosphere was friendly and unique.
Where else can you get an EXCELLENT pork chop breakfast at 4a -- no other place in Portland. What a treasure. Great food -- all the diner classics, and then some. Fun and attentive service, too. Bravo !
Was able to make it to The Roxy twice while in Portland on vacation. Amazing atmosphere and amazing people. Definitely one of my all time favs!!!!
We fell in love with this place! Very tasty breakfast, good coffee, but you can find it in a lot of places. This diner has great atmosphere and interior!
