We came here because it was dog friendly. They allow for dogs for outdoor seating but service dogs for inside. Apparently years ago dogs were also allowed inside but things have changed. We ordered the Dry Apple and Strawberry Watermelon cider drinks. While for food we ordered the Dog Breath and The Green as pizza. The drinks were great! I could barely taste the watermelon flavor was very mellow and easy to drink. The pizza was 16 inches so it was good to share and for a group to order. The only thing I would note is it's VERY CHEESEY. So if you don't like pizza being extra cheesey I wouldn't recommend ordering the pizza. Otherwise overall we love the vibe of this place, the atmosphere, the food and drinks were great!

Meeting a friend here for after work drinks seems like a given with a covered patio and seating this abundant - whether you have a pup or not, you’ll find it very pooch friendly (maybe even make a new four legged friend). For the non beer drinkers, there’s wine and let’s be honest, as far as food? The pizza is always the right choice.
The staff is always friendly whether you’re with a group (this place is fantastic for large groups!) or having a chocolate cookie solo. Highly recommend the cookies…

Food was tasty. The two ciders I had were very good. We ordered two pizzas but ended up getting pizzas that belonged to another group. The other group ended up needing to get two new pieces because we had already touched the crust during inspection of the two foreign pizzas. Bathroom was okay. Parking was decent but didn't know about parking in the back until afterwards. Website menu is outdated.

Stopped in for a quick drink after a friend recommended this spot.
They had a great hazy beer and my partner was a fan of their ipa as well.
I mainly want to give a huge shout out to the employees, in particular, Peter. We told him we had been walking around neighborhoods trying to get a feel for where we could see ourselves living. He was so nice and wrote us his recommendations for several different neighborhoods and all his favorite spots in each. We were seriously so excited to check out his recommendations and it was just so cool that he took the time to do that for us. Thank you Peter you are awesome!!

More like 3.5 stars, but rounding up since I keep unexpectedly finding myself here. The space is large, with an exposed, high ceiling and long tables in a beer hall inspired setup, while the walls border on kitschy with a mix of pictures of dogs and bulletin boards full of pictures of folks with Lucky Lab shirts all around the world.
So why do I like the place?
* the space - whether it's sitting out back on the large patio (surrounded by folks with their dogs), inside with a large group for a MeetUp, or just tucked away solo in the corner with my laptop, there's plenty of choices, and the large space makes it very adaptable. It's not unusual to walk in and see people running D&D campaigns, playing chess/Go/Scrabble/etc,
* wide beer selection - while not my favorite Portland brews, I don't think I've had a "bad" beer here. They've always got something on the cask, as well as a nitro pressurized brew as well. No "great" beers in my opinion, but plenty of very serviceable brews.
* "bento" plates - For $7, you get a big plate of white or brown rice topped with veggies and a choice of sauce (peanut, spicy peanut, or a sweet chili), and you can get chicken and tempeh versions too. Nothing fancy here, no subtleties, just a filling plate of rice and some toppings.
* sandwiches - okay, I'll admit, I've never ordered a sandwich here, but I'm always tempted (though the lure of the bento plates, which are a few bucks cheaper, tend to lure me in)
I find this Lucky Lab location frequently being a coffee shop alternative for me when I'm looking to get a little work done on my laptop. It's a 10 minute walk from home and while there are also a number of coffee shops in the area, it often wins since it's open late and has beer.

This is a friendly and laid back atmosphere where people come and hang out, some play games in a group while enjoying food and drink. Or just come for a cider, beer or a sandwich. There is an eclectic menu with some veg choices as well. I love their house gonger ale, fresh and not too sweet. It is large, yet cozy. No pressure here, stay, relax and enjoy a chill time.

Super chill and dog friendly- everything we wanted from a brewery! Plenty of outdoor seating and the beer/food is amazing! If I lived closer we would be here at least 2-3x a week.

Tried the pesto and tomato sandwich, and the ham and cheese sandwich: Both were very good! Bartender was very nice and helpful. Was there on a sunder early evening and the place was pretty empty. There is a separate room for private parties, which was nice.

Reminds me of what brew pubs used to be. A laid back, non-pretentious atmosphere, spending all of the breweries resources on making good beer and exceptional food. All of the beers I tried were on point.

Standard, bit-noisy, open-space beer pub environment allowing nice group get-togethers. Their own beer, ale, stout on-tap are REALLY good; you can ask for samples to help choose. The pizza is just fine, but the sandwiches I've gotten are REALLY excellent. You get your beer at the bar when ordered, food is brought out to you as soon as the kitchen prepares it. Covered outside seating pleasant when weather is warmer. Side windows in main room look out on adjacent building wall and construction (?) debris; would be nice if that got cleaned up. Separate event room can be reserved; looks like it could be a nice function space for up to about 25 people! Wheelchair ramp easily available. Parking in small lot & on street can get crowded (a sign of its popularity and worthiness).

Always love coming here. I wish I could bring my dog inside, but it's OK on the patio with the heater

This was our final stop in a 3 stop brewery hop. It's a big place and their beer is good. the interior is nothing great, just a big room. they have outdoor benches as well that are covered so you could get some fresh air. They are picnic like benches. I would say this brewery is not the best ambience but their beer is good and employees friendly.
Zale Cordero
Big space. Has outdoor seating. Order at the bar. No dogs allowed.

I go there on Game night on Thursdays. The place can be pretty busy but worth it. The food menu is limited, but everything that I've had on there was tasty.
Pavel Viktor Boxan
Decent looking pub and they even have pilsner.

Italian Grinder with chips & salsa and a Stumptown Porter. Yes, please! It doesn’t hurt that it’s dog friendly!

I like their selection of food, including lots of veggie options, which is great. The beer is lovely as well, but I am so irritated that there is no patio server! Dogs aren’t allowed inside, so how is a person supposed to order food or drinks when they come with their dog?? I came alone, so I had to ask random strangers if they’d watch my dog, which is not ideal. If you need a patio server, I would gladly do it.
Just changed my rating from 3 to 2, because they turned off the patio heaters and it’s chilly today. This is ridiculous. I won’t be coming back.

I love the whole patio area for dogs. However I was not impressed you have to leave your dog to order. I also was not impressed by the food, I would like to see burgers and fries. The pulled pork was not good it was like eating more bread than meat. Also, the heaters were turned off midway through our meal so we froze. The smoking on the patio is horrific too!

Awesome as always. Been going here for over 12 years. Great place to have a beer and relax with your dogs! Awesome selection of food and killer staff that are super friendly.

Fabulous place when visiting or living in Portland with a dog or multiple dogs. Great food too! Who can beat eating out with your best friend!(s)

Popular with the locals, and groups meet on Sundays to play various table top games.
Wonderful relaxed atmosphere, with good food Om the menu.
Backed by a great selection of self brewed beers. A really good, friendly Portland pub with no pretentious.

Their Hawthorne St. location is my favorite brew pub in Portland. Their Super Dog IPA is awesome and they serve a killer bento. The atmosphere is great. You feel very much at home the minute you walk into the place. I just can't say enough good things about this place. If you're visiting Portland this brew pub is a must.

Great food, ice cold wine, fun and engaging atmosphere and the staff wonderful! I’ll be back!

Anyplace that has amazing beer, a place to hang out and drink that said beer with a bunch of awesome fun pups and dogs of all sorts, and a stack of games to play in the corner for free is perfect in my book... great time on a sunny Sunday afternoon
Terry Conley
Great beer. Food was OK. People working there are not friendly, just look pretty gloomy. The place was a mess, in the outside eating area, plates of leftover food were scattered on a table ,and birds were eating from them. The restroom reeked of urine. There were napkins and other debris on the floor inside. I looked in the kitchen and saw half empty beer bottles on a table. The worst part was when we were leaving, we saw several plastic bags of dog shit on the sidewalk in front. We had expected more. Don't think we will recommend this place to anyone and will not be back.

Super nice staff, tuna melt was ok, beer very good but the place just seemed kinda dingy, maybe time to freshen up? Still like it very much!
Stefan Bennett
Hawthorn location. Food was terrible, had Chicken Bento with peanut sauce that was horrible... dry old tasting chicken, mushy overcooked rice and peanut sauce poured on like slop. I brought it back after a couple bites, said "I can't eat this" to the woman and she was completely indifferent... didn't even make eye contact. (all the servers with the exception of one looked unhappy, burned out). I'm not a picky eater, I just don't liking getting garbage when I pay money for it. The homemade root beer tasted like a bad attempt at best.

We stopped in with our dog after a day at the coast and had a lovely pint with the pooch. Will definitely be back :)

We sought this place out just because I could bring my dog in. However once we arrive I was very disappointed to find out we could only sit on the patio. We only stayed for a beer due to this.
