Queen Of Sheba - Portland - Photo album

One woman running all the stuff the day we came so it was a bit slow to order and pay but the woman was nice and direct, hardworking. Great mix of vegetables and hood spicy lamb. Just wish we could order even more vegetables on our Injera bread.
Great food and so much of it too! Service is good for such a small operation. Def a favorite stop in NE.
Truly good food with large portions. The place is small and there was only one person working there that evening, so service took a bit. Still, it was very much worth the experience and it's obvious that this place was loved by the locals.
This restaurant has been here since we moved to Portland in 2006, though I think it's been here for far longer. It's definitely worth a try though weekdays are quieter so might be better for a first time. Also they have trouble with large parties, so call ahead to check.
Incredible food, lovely owners. If you're looking for generous portions of genuine Ethiopian food (VERY vegan-friendly), I couldn't recommend them enough! I did my best to recompose my takeout vegetarian combination!
Been trying to expand my culinary horizons and with some encouragement from friends, decided to try Ethiopian cuisine. A search on the Internet showed Queen of Sheba as one of the best Ethiopian restaurants in Portland. So, we gave it a try and weren't disappointed. The restaurant is small and som
Very delicious food! We didn’t realize they needed a reservation to eat but they sat us anyway. Great portions and amazing flavors! Their house made drinks are really delicious too.
This is one of our go-to dinner spots as a family. The food is amazing, filling, delicious and flavorful. The staff/owners are great. It's truly a family-run place. And though we don't go as often as we like, they always remember us!
Great Ethiopian food place. I love hands on food so it was right up my alley. Their injera (type of sourdough bread) is not inherently GF and in order to order it, you must call in advance to have it prepared (I think it takes something like 24 hours to make the bread).
I like all kinds of different food from all over. I had never had Ethiopian food before but if this is what they have the rest of the world needs to take notes. This was the best meal I've had in a while, and reasonably priced. Wait times are a bit long but it's well worth it.
Come in, seat yourself, and be patient; you can't rush perfection! Great people, great vibe, great food. Get the communal option and bring your best friends for an amazing giant pizza that isnt a pizza. 💯💥💫
Inedible gem hidden right around the corner from the Wonder Ballroom. We accidentally stumbled upon this place while waiting for our concert to start. At first glance it seems like a small, dark and not well run establishment, but that could not be further from the truth. Yes, there is only one s
The place is simple, but the hostess was lovely. She lit up when we engaged her about her country and its customs. The food was a fun experience. We ordered a large mix veggie platter. You use the flat bread to eat/scoop the food. It was tasty and super flavorful. I expect that the meat dishes would
Ethiopian food amazement!!!! Will not disappoint.
It's a slightly stuffy place with pretty nice food. They do have a room with fans, so we chose to sit there. We ordered a chicken dish and a 2-option vegetarian dish to share. It all came on a large platter with dosa-like rye sourdough bread. Very filling and tasty stuff.
First time eating here and I didn’t know it is eaten with your hands but I guess that is an experience in itself. I ordered the potatoes and green beans with carrots “Atakilt Alicha,” green salad, and sautéed beef tips with veggies “Alicha tibs.” Yummy food. I will try a little more spicy next time
Always great food and friendly people.
