Slice that Price. The sandwiches we had here were pretty good, though somewhat small for $8. I'd feel a lot better about the experience if they had been closer to $6. Still, not a bad spot to drop in on if youre nearby, in a hurry and craving something lite (which is exactly what our circumstances were.)

I gave GCB 4 forks. Locally made bread is simply the best. All their employees are hard at work making sure you get the best quality that they are known for! Stop in for a treat or pick up a couple of loaves of the good stuff.

We got two sandwiches, the happy goat and veggie grinder, side salad, a fontina pull-apart & a pecan pull-apart, and a soda and chai. Both of the sandwiches were super good, loved the happy goat. The veggie grinder was good but the baguette was hard this day. The pastries were a little hard/dry too, esp the pecan pull-apart. The caramelized sugar on top had really hardened. We were understanding bc it was end of day for them. The chai was semi sweet and nicely spicy. The greens in the side salad were fresh and the dressing was good. Really enjoyed the cozy space on a rainy Portland day. But I've had baked goods from grand central before that were way better than what we had this day, so that was slightly disappointing. Still a good spot for a light lunch. Stopped into ecovibe next door afterwards for some shopping.

One of the best bakeries ever, and I love my bakeries. Bread, pastries, muffins, pies, cookies, breakfast sandwiches, coffee. 🤤 The staff is always kind, but on the efficient side, which is good. I’ve been to three different locations and they are all unique and enjoyable environments.

Nice bakery with good selection of freshly baked pastries and breads. They also make decent coffee. We had 8oz cappuccino and it was very well made. The place was a bit busy in the morning and it was hard to find the seating. Service is average.

The BEST BLT I’ve ever had. I know. I know. It’s just a blt. But this thing was perfect from the toasted bread, to the bacon, to the tomatoes. Great job. I could have eaten more but I saved room for desert. The pull-a-part was amazing. Go! You won’t be disappointed.

I absolutely love this place, I try to visit as often as possible when in town. I've gone so many times and everything on their menu is delicious. The almond croissant, pecan pull-apart rolls, and any one of the scones are a must-try!

Amazing toasted sandwich, Fennel Tarragon Chicken Salad. Fantastic and nice people! Toasted bread is America’s great unifier.

Great little cafe. Friendly staff, good food, good coffee. I love the atmosphere too. And their cookies are delicious! I really like their grilled cheese sandwich, and they have a large selection of fresh breads for sale.

Nice bakery with cafe options available. Simple menu but upon walking inside met by wonderful smells. Baguette was great but found the pastries to be ok. Would be back for the more bread oriented options vs satisfying my sweet tooth.

I have baked plenty of my own bread, but I can’t make anything like their sourdough rye. It is perfection, and tastes good with literally every type of sandwich. Please never stop making this perfect bread!
