Golden Horse Seafood - Portland - Photo album

Our go to for Chinese food in the Portland area. Update 11/11/23 - Dined here on Saturday evening around 6pm. It was not busy at all. The dishes ordered- Ma Pao Tofu, cashew nut chicken (gluten free), crispy noodle chicken chow mein, and pot stickers. Large dishes and plenty for take home leftovers
One of the last standing Chinese joints in downtown Portland that has kept it going with great food from authentic Chinese dishes to the Americanized combo meals. Very well priced. Lunch specials are no joke. Hot fresh food. Hard working people. Sophi is always ready to greet and serve efficiently.
Love this place! Really great and tasty food. I recommend to give it a try! Unfortunately the neighborhood is quite shady, I would recommend to take a electric scooter to the restaurant. And don't be here in the late night hours.
Golden Horse is our go-to downtown spot for Chinese food. In fact, it has been for the past 18 years. We get takeout every other week or so, and it's always fun to catch up with the staff. I'm a big fan of their noodles, and the salty crunch of their Pepper & Salt Pork is heavenly, as is the squid.
The restaurant was quiet. The food portions are large. These were lunch specials! Thefried rice is tasty, and they cook tofu beautifully.
Great food and fast service. We would have tried everything on the menu if not for the inflation and gas prices. 10/10 would recommend the fried rice and honey walnut shrimp. Their spicy beef dish is not spicy unless you think black pepper is “hot”.
Golden Horse is my favorite Chinese restaurant! My family loves to come here whenever we're in the downtown Portland area. Service has always been friendly to us, and food comes rather quickly. Everything I've ordered here has tasted amazing; they have the best egg flower soup and Chinese fried chic
Found this place by chance on a weekend trip Friday night. My group of 6 people were the only dine-in table that night. We ordered congee, black pepper sizzling beef, beef he fen (sorry I don't know the english name), yuzi doufu, and veggies. The auntie providing service was very patient with us, an
I have a great affinity for visiting hole in the wall restaurants wherever I travel to, and this restaurant certainly fit the billing. It's in Portland's China town, surrounded by some abandoned and vacant restaurants and businesses, but dont let that scare you away. While Golden Horse isn't much
Combos are $11 and $12 for dinner. Food is great for American style Chinese takeout, service is always superfast and friendly. It's always pretty sparse inside when I go, but that can be a nice thing to you can find a nice quiet intimate little corner, just relax and enjoy
Stopped by this restaurant while at work for our lunch break and the food was amazing and on point but for the money spent you get so much value. We were starving and yet there were still left overs for some of us. If you want authentic Chinese food that has a great atmosphere and amazing service fo
Authentic Cantonese food. Ordered mustard green with rice. The chef added a lot of ginger which is perfect. Nice light lunch. Large portions, good prices, great customer service, though the place is a little stuffy.
This is my favorite restaurant in all of Portland. The food is always delicious with large, seasoned portions. The staff is very efficient too and typically friendly. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a homey vibe.
Step back in time and experience yesteryear prices alongside exceptional Cantonese cuisine. Earthy spices mixed with savory sweet sauces pepper assortments of meat, tofu and vegetables. Its hard to find top-tier food at 11$ a plate. This is the place. Find your sweetheart and retreat to a quie
They’re open for dine-in! I have been coming here since I was a kid (25+ years) and it holds a very special place in my heart. Many restaurants haven’t made it in Chinatown but it’s so good to see Golden Horse has survived as one of the OG. My 70-year old mom was so excited they were finally open fo
