The best Thai food and the best customer service I've ever experienced. Reasonable prices and large portions. I'd give higher than a 5-star rating if I could.
Such a peaceful environment and a kind staff. The food was perfect. Full of flavor. Fresh. And at a great price.
Good food and wonderful service. So friendly. Every time we pick up our food to go we receive free hot tea and dumplings. We've thought about trying other places, but we keep coming back because of the service and good food.

We just had an amazing meal here. The staff is super friendly, checked on us regularly and the food was SO good! I had the Pad Woonsen and we were given this mango sticky Rice that was heavenly. Everything was perfect, highly recommend!!
If I could give 100 stars I would! Very best Thai in Portland and easy on the budget too. Been going here for years and love introducing friends and customers to the place. ���

Like always so good. Had the "Special Red Curry" . it's made with pineapple peaches peppers with white chicken breast in a delicious red curry. So yummy.

I've eaten at 100 Thai restaurants in my travels. This one is the best.
A casual Thai dining experience with a good menu and the food is good with good portions. Extremely reasonable pricing. The drinks were so affordable!! The icing on the cake was literally the sweet end where we got a little mango sticky rice treat from the host. Even sweeter still was the service. Warm and kind, efficient, you leave full and feeling a level of hospitality that is hard to get eating out in Portland.
Food wise, I'd say the quality, potion and taste was average. We had the fried tofu, Pad Thai, Drunken noodles and Pumpkin curry. All of them were mediocre. Nothing worthy to mention.
We visited this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. Depending on when you go, the speed of service could be slow or great. I say that coz it seemed like they operate lean - only one person to serve, take orders, basically, do all the tables. And another in the kitchen. Which is why our interactions with the person who tended to us (and everybody else) was very direct, short and at times inpatient.
Really down to earth place, feels authentic. When I say it was the best thai food I've ever had, I mean it. I am craving to come back to portland just for this place. The prices are also incredibly cheap. Highly recommended.
I went here for lunch with friends. I had green curry with chicken, my friends also had curry (yellow & red). We all enjoyed our meal. It was clean & casual atmosphere. They gave us sticky rice with mango as a complimentary dessert. It was a fabulous way to end a very satisfying meal. We had a lot of fun talking with our server, he made us feel welcome.

I NEVER write reviews but this place is AMAZING visiting from San Francisco and I eat a lot of Thai, the food was great but what really did it for me was the extremely sweet staff and they gave us a free side of mango sweet rice and let me tell you I moaned. The rice is textured perfectly the cream compliments well and the mango was so fresh you couldn’t convince me they just plucked it. If I’m in Portland im coming here again 5/5
Sivalai is good Thai food! Friendly and inviting. I had eaten there last month. Ordered green papaya salad and drunken noodles with chicken. The price was right and portion size just right for one. The dishe s were delicious. I recommend this place.

Yummy, cute, non-pretentious Thai restaurant. Owner was very sweet and accommodating. He was able to make sure my dishes were gluten free, even gluten free soy sauce. He also let me add salmon to a dish that didn’t have it. I requested extra spicy and he actually made it “Thai” spicy for me, but I had to request spicier than the highest spice level. :-) Also love the outside picnic tables.

We got takeout tonight, and the gentleman working the phone was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend as a go-to Thai spot in southeast.
It’s rare that I go somewhere and be 100% satisfied but this spot really did it for me! The service was so prompt and everyone was kind and attentive. I appreciate the waiter for giving us a truly honest opinion on what he felt was the best food and which ones were just okay. From his suggestions, we chose to order a Thai tea, fried shrimp rolls, papaya salad, the drunken noodles and the crab fried rice. EVERYTHING we had was so flavorful and delicious. The crab fried rice was seriously perfection. 11/10 would recommend this place! We ended the meal with a free mango sticky rice too! We are thankful for such a pleasant experience.
This place was recommended to me by a coworker. We came here on a Saturday night and got a parking spot, we ordered food, lively atmosphere inside was great. Tom Kha soup was phenomenal, fried rice was okay, not spicy at all, and a glass noodle dish with black mushrooms didn't have any mushrooms lol but was decent. The service was great, they had fresh roses on the tables and nice decor in the room. I would love to come back and order Tom Kha again. Also I would like to try their salads and desert options.
Service was top notch and the food was fresh and entirely delicious! The wait time was minimal. Our appetizers and entrees came out quickly. We enjoyed every bite, and our host surprised us with a free mango and coconut rice dessert. Fabulous! The environment was clean and inviting, with gently fragrant roses on each table. I will definitely be back for more!
We enjoyed this restaurant and would go again! The food was good, not the best Thai I've ever had, but the service was exceptional. The waiters and owner are so friendly and made our experience super fun. The drunken noodles was our favorite dish that we tried.
Stopped in before heading to the airport. Super glad we did! The Red Surprise Curry was amazing and my wife said the Pad Thai was excellent as well! The service was super friendly and quick, though it was mostly empty there. We had such a great dinner and would've gladly paid more for it! If I ever have to fly past dinner time, I'll be sure to stop here again!
I Love this restaurant! I live nearby and have gotten take-out a few times now through Grubhub. They always have it prepared really quickly, it’s delicious, well portioned and priced. They also put in a little carton of sticky rice with mango that I don’t even order!
I've been coming here for almost 10 years. The food is perfectly reasonable but the service is outstanding. I love everyone who works there and will continue to come back. Roast duck curry and drunken noodles are stand out dishes.
The food was delicious! That mango sticky rice is EVERYTHING 🤤. I also had the Yellowed Curry and a side of Chicken Stay. The peanut sauce was full of flavor. Definitely a new favorite!
