Great place for a date night. Unique food and fun to cook your own meat and seafood in the broth. Super yummy food. We loved the Port Smith cheese fondue with Swiss, Gruyère and port wine. We also loved the East to West Entree and the Seafood entree. Both were very delicious. We loved the options of sauces they brought us. It was nice to be able to try them all. There were like 10 sauces brought out. The atmosphere was nice. It was a little cold in there, maybe it was just that day in particular. Our server was very nice. She was busy with a lot of customers. The only downside was a bit of a delay on refilling our drinks. But it wasn’t a big deal. The food came out quickly. We didn’t try dessert but want to come back and try it!

Nice, casual spot for fondue. Recommend making a reservation as it gets busy. Went with 3 people. Food was fantastic - the cheeses we chose (oregon black truffle and farmhouse cheddar) were great and the amount of food we got with just that portion alone was huge, Next, we had the meat entree for 2 plus the steak and lobster entree, which again was too much food for 3 people. We ended with a dessert of hazelnut chocolate and salted caramel pots and again, so much food with that portion. We rolled out of there with our bellies full and we enjoyed the experience.

This place was great! We got there right at opening time, 15 minutes before our reservation, and we got seated immediately. Our waiter was amazing! Since we hadn't been there before, he explained the different options for ordering. He was attentive, friendly and helpful. And while the food was great, he made our visit amazing! We didn't want left overs so we ordered à la carte. We got two different types of cheese fondue, the Brie and Gorgonzola plus the Ruby Port Swiss and Gruyère with blueberries. They were so different in flavor but complemented each other wonderfully. It came with unlimited bread which I'm sure was baked that day but we added a fruit plate which was fresh and tasty. I highly recommend this for a date night or if you're craving reasonably priced fondue.

The food was amazing! So delish! I could have had more coffee flavor in the tiramisu; it just tasted like delicious chocolate. The variety of dipping sauces were fun to try & added so much to our experience. We went for a birthday & we will come back again!

This is one of our favorite stops in NW Portland. We are happy with just cheese and chocolate and a quick stop at Trader Joe’s next door after dinner. Our favorites: Bre & Gorgonzola cheese with a few sides and tiramisu fondue for desert. Be sure to make a reservation as this swanky fondue restaurant has limited seating! We really enjoyed the staff on this visit, thank you for adding to the experience.

We had a great time at Urban Fondue! The staff was friendly and accommodating. They were attentive. The food was delicious! The only problem we had that night was we had a bad experience next door at Bartini. I give them a 1 star. They were rude and not accommodating at all. We may never go back there!

Urban Fondue has excellent waitstaff and service during the meal. The truffle fondue was so mouth watering and delicious!! Atmosphere and attention is paid throughout the meal, a must have experience in Portland.

Had a great date night. Had the Ruby Port cheese fondue to start. Added a sausage and fruit plate for the dipping. The cheese was amazing especially with the sausage. Then we did steak prawns and scallops with the seasoned firepot broth. The broth was like a hearty minestrone soup base. Really amazing flavors. It was a fun experience and great service. Well worth your time.

Great food and the staff were incredible. They're the most attentive staff in a restaurant that I've been to in a long time, maybe ever. I can't recommend this place enough.

I loved the whole experience. This place is more than just food, I like the idea of dipping, and the cooking, and trying dipping sauces... The whole thing is very fun and engaging. The dipping sauces were fantastic, the cheese was great, and the butterscotch chocolate dessert was really good.

Great fondue and a great meal overall. Place has a retro vibe/decor, and use sterno rather than having a burner on the table. We had 2 cheese fondue's- white cheddar and caraway seed, and a beer cheese that was served with a pretzel. We also had a side of sausage too. Both great, but we all preferred the white cheddar. The sharpness was perfect with the bread. We got a 3 different meats for meals, my favorite was the steak and lobster. Both were perfect. For dessert we had the chocolate and peanut butter. Really tasted like a liquid Reeses Peanut Butter Cup. My daughter and I loved it. (My wife wanted the classic pure chocolate which I'm sure is great too.) Great place. If you are a fondue lover give them a try!

We did the entire 'experience'. The staff were all very nice. We ordered a tray of fruit to go with our cheese fondue and we were really disappointed in the quality of the fruit. We had like 4 grapes and two were rotten. For $6 we should get a better variety than 1/4 of a pear and apple and 4 grapes all bruised or rotten. The port cheese fondue is where it's at though. The entree was good too, we tried the pho broth and the dessert fondue was by far the best. If it wasn't for the poor fruit quality it was a very nice experience. And their cocktails are great!
