Fabulous rum list. Barely a step down from the very best rum bars in the world. List includes some rums not sold in the United States, and many more that are very difficult to find. The cocktail list is also smart and focused on presenting high quality, inventive rum drinks, broadly. If you want your socks knocked off, try the Unaged flight; it's hard to imagine a wilder introduction to the spectrum of flavors than can be produced through fermentation and distillation.
I can’t believe I have not been to the Rum Club until now! Really cute and tiny cozy cocktail bar with friendly staff. We went specifically to try their famous Hot Buttered Rum for the Christmas holiday. It was delicious. The cocktail is served perfectly warm with Jamaican rum blend, butter, sugar, bitters and winter spices. I absolutely loved the smooth buttery flavor. It was easy to drink. I found the flavor familiar with a touch of uniqueness. We also tried their Deviled Eggs -pomegranate beet pickled eggs with horseradish sorfrito and herbs. These very red deviled eggs are delicious and perfect to share, qty 4. We will go back for happy hour!
Love this place. It's perfect for the winter. It is warm and cozy on the inside and they have a variety of warm drinks that are delicious. Our service was fast even though the bar was busy and the bartenders were very kind. We got some homemade chex mix too which I think was a nice touch. I'm looking forward to coming back!
I've had Rum Club on my list to try because a bartender I hold in high regard really likes it. It's a small bar. The music was old-school prohibition style that's popular with speakeasy's. The food was decent and the cocktails are pretty good. Unfortunately only one person was mixing for the whole joint. She was so busy it felt like fast food. We came away concluding it was just ok. Wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am is not my style. Having said that, Michael Shea, the proprietor is the creator of the Old Quartermaster cocktail. That alone merits another visit. I'll be back. If you like rum, this is definitely the spot! They have over 300 bottles available for your tasting pleasure. The drinks are prepared and served with a true mixologists approach to cocktails, which is pure chemistry! All juices and syrups are prepared in-house, which definitely makes a difference with each cocktail. If you just want to taste the various rums, you should definitely do so! Beer, wine, and mocktails are also available. The food items are really delicious and pair well with the beverages! This spot has a knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful staff! If you like good people, good drinks and food, and are a lover of rum, definitely stop in and enjoy the experience. You'll love it!!! The location is small and may get busy, so check local listings for surge hours, or perhaps make a reservation. Either way, may I suggest a visit to the bar!

Stopped in to grab a few drinks. It's a smaller cozy bar. The music was loud but I was digging it. Saw a group doing a shot board having some fun. I ordered 2 drinks the first one was space warrior it was good! 2nd one was lucky day was ok didn't care for the lime. I'd definitely go back it was a good time. The food that I saw looked good. I didn't order any was leaving to meet a friend. The Shaka license plate was awsome! 🤙
Great cocktails, really delicious. Nice enough vibe (see velvet good boi) but the table seats are too high — coulda been more comfortable at the bar and had the entertainment of watching them mix drinks. Service at our table was unwelcoming, seemed reluctant to help us choose drinks.
It's the place to be for lovers of rum. The main cocktail menu is fantastic, with additional seasonal offerings that will blow you away (looking at you strawberry blendy!). The bar staff is so friendly and welcoming, and the food is to die for. Couple that with an amazing cozy atmosphere and a delightful little patio, it's a gem you have to visit.
Great vibes, amazing drinks, and delicious food. A relatively small, intimate space with a huge personality. One of my favorite spots in Portland.
Absolutely loved this place. Got several drinks here and they were all great! I was not planning to eat, but the peanut stew sounded too good to pass up. Indeed, it was excellent as well. We had a couple servers check on us regularly and they were extremely pleasant. This is a five star place all around. Go for the drinks, but leave room for the food.
