Cool take on fast casual. Delicious ramen with quite a variety of flavor profiles.
Amazing food - had the shoyu ramen and gyoza. Friendly service too. Not to be missed.
We thought the ramen was delicious! Especially the vegan one. Very flavorful!
Everything was great - Poke Tacos, Pork Dumplings, Seaweed Salad wish I had time to go back and try the various Ramen dishes. Certainly will on my next Portland outing
Place is beautiful and the staff is amazing! Food wasn’t the best, but it was unique. I had the Yuzu Shio ramen and its broth was a little bitter. The salmon nigiri also tasted kinda off. My boyfriend has a spicier ramen and his had much better flavor. I would come again and probably order something different.

I’m visiting Portland for the first time and this restaurant was close to my hotel. Although I’m not a Ramen person my friends opted for this and it was delicious! Light option but at the same time very filling. Overall really
great.
Had an amazing dinner here thanks to our cousin who introduced us to this eatery chain. The food was authentic. The ambience coupled with amazing customer service meant we had a perfect memory forever.
Thanks heaps!!! & we will go back & recommended highly for a superb culinary experience.
Wonderful spot for Ramen. Good service, very nice atmosphere and in a great part of town. All the ingredients are really fresh and tell an interesting story. Highly recommend
At Afuri, the culinary journey is both nuanced and profound. The crispy buta gyoza offers a tantalizing crunch, while the yuzu edamame is a delightful fusion of zest and tradition. The tonkotsu tantan and shio are emblematic of rich, flavorful depths. As for the beverages, the Soyokaze and Natsu punctuate the meal with subtle sophistication. An establishment worthy of discerning palates.
Loved everything we had here. I got yuzu tsuyu which is a warm or cold dipping ramen that was really good. My partner got tonkostu tantan that was nice and spicy. Tried one of the donburi which I want to get again next time for sure. The takoyaki was great, the squid was cooked perfect. Brought home steamed gyoza and they were awesome too. Tasty drinks, loved the house made ginger ale that wasn't too sweet. Excited to be back in the fall for cozy ramen dates
I'm not big on ramen, I just don't prefer the texture of the noodle. That being said these guys do an amazing job. I got a roll of sushi with salmon cucumber and ginger, I could taste every layer.
The ramen I got was pork, and a red curry sauce and it was absolutely amazing very earthy, with mushrooms and savory spices.
They don't even offer forks, so you know only serious people go here.. 😂
Great ramen with the best vegan option-hazelnut tan tan! My husband got the yuzu and enjoyed the light chicken broth. Their house made spicy paste is a must try. Our bill plus a glass of wine was about $50 plus tip
Really nice place! Our server was awesome and the atmosphere is chill. I had a margarita and the tantan ramen and they were delicious!! The pork buns were unfortunately a little chewy, but I'd still come back and get the ramen again.
First day in Portland visiting and this was a absolute treat. After living in Colombia 🇨🇴 for the past three years it was nice to eat some real Asian cuisine. The ramen here at AFURI is amazing and was beyond delicious. The gyozas are also really really good. I got a weird drink that I wasn’t a fan of but all In all I’ll be back again.
A unique ramen stop! Very flavourful and simple. As someone who doesn’t eat pork, I appreciated that the broth didn’t have any, and you could omit the chasu.
That being said-if you are looking for a hot bowl of ramen, look elsewhere. We had lukewarm ramen, with eggs that were cold when they were put in-reducing the temperature further. Also extremely limited toppings, not even a chili oil or bean sprout to add.
We came early so there was probably only 10 people. The service was extremely slow, and she seemed annoyed to be there.
Tried the ramen, gyoza , shumai and the chicken karaage. The chicken was super crispy and the texture of the noodles was excellent. However, one of our water glasses had a distinct lipstick mark like it was never washed and then the sharing bowl had dried food particles on it. Not happy with the hygiene!
We stopped here because we needed something warm. We enjoyed everything we ordered here. The ramen was good and tasty. I like my ramen to have a kick with spice so I ordered the tan tan men. I asked for extra spicy oil for extra spice. It was good and the noodles were great.
We also had the ton katsu, which was also good but less flavorful than the first for sure.
The crispy gyoza were good and we really enjoyed the sauce it canes with.
The fried chicken bun was probably our favorite since it had a tad of freshness with the cucumber that is inside.
Establishment
Nice and friendly staff. It’s modern inside and they have a tech forward ordering computer.
Drinks
All very refreshing although my favorite was their non alcoholic drinks specially the ginger ale!
Came here for the first time because it’s right next to our apartment. Really enjoyed the food but the service was interesting - order on your phone and the food came out pretty slow. Ordered the seaweed salad, spicy tori karaage, Kakuni pork bun (our favorite), steamed gyoza, and yuzu shoyu. The pork bun was amazing and we enjoyed the ramen as well. Everything else was good, just nothing that blew us away. Would come back!
This place was just what we needed on a cold and rainy day. The atmosphere was upscale - a stark juxtaposition from the environment outside the windows. The menu had a good selection and presentation was spectacular. The pork bun was delicious and the ramen I had was superb. Also paired with a nice old fashioned and everything was delightful. A bit pricey, but worth it for the experience. Would recommend a visit.

Afuri will always have a place in my heart. Some of the best ramen you can get. Get the dumplings 🔥🔥
