We went there looking for a yummy bowl and found what we wanted. The staff was pleasant and we could see the chef make our food. The menu has house bowls or you can make your own. I was really pleased with their selections of drinks, especially seltzer water. The wait was minimal, found a table easily, clean, had to bus your own table, view of Hawthorne while eating, good portions(not sure why anyone would complain), and good Hawaiian style pok food. We even tried a spam musubi. We will go again to try some of the other bowls.

02/17/17: 4.5 out of 5 - Definitely an improvement in service, and the bowls are prepared well. The fish are cut quite nicely. Worth the visit!
01/15/17: 4.0 out of 5 - Came here after my recovery from Pneumonia. Surprisingly, Poke Mon was a bit busy considering the Winter Storm PDX is recovering from. I suppose if it's good food, Portlanders will find a way.
I had the Garlic Salmon and my wife had the Hawaiian Ahi. Both were tasty, presented well, and well-balanced between the amount of ingredients.
The place is quite clean. Clean tables, clean counters, clean bathroom, just clean everything.
The staff were quite busy, but they seemed nice when one of them brought out our food. They greet people as they're coming in and thanked them as they are leaving.
Overall, it was a good eating experience. I would definitely come back with others. I highly suggest coming in once and decide for yourself. Enjoy!

Really great flavors and combinations. My husband and I always split one of the spicy bowls with *extra protein and a side of kimchi; it's plenty of food for us. Also they have Sake flights! Lastly the employees here are knowledgeable and friendly.

The ahi bowls (both) were pretty awesome. Only complaint is the portion size could be a bit bigger. Other than that the flavors were great and the presentation was nice.

Great poke! Located on Hawthorne Street in inner eastside of Portland. We tried three of their Signature Bowls and not one of them disappointed. Favorite was the Hawaiian Ahi bowl. The seaweed salad was also amazing.
The portion size is a little small but the bowls do pack a lot of amazing flavor.

The Spicy donburi was delicious and there's a relaxed atmosphere. Our customer service was friendly and we received our food quickly. :-)

I always like going to poke mon because I've yet to have a bad experience. The food looks and tastes great. The water is always cold. The staff is always patient and kind. The tables are always clear and clean. The service you get here is outstanding.

The food i ordered was korean style dish. My friend ordered japanese style dish. I like the one my friend ordered (yuzu shoyu sauce)

Loved the Salmon, tried the ‘Make your own bowl’ on the menu. Nice clean environment.

One of, if not the best, poke bowl I've ever had. The staff was really friendly. Nice vibe. Good prices. Great location.

The food was spot on!! And service was nice and food came quick.
Only gave it 4 stars due to portions being so small for the price. Maybe had 8-10 very small bites of tune and it was a $13-14. I make a lot of poke at home so I understand it is expensive but for the price they could have done a little bigger portion. Also I would advise the Mac salad is not great, had some sorta of tomato flavor. Don't be afraid to try this place!!

The good: tasty, if you limit the toppings it's very similar to what people in Hawaii have been eating for forever.
The bad: fish portion size is small. For twelve bucks I expected more fish. Safeway in Honolulu serves pokebowls for five bucks cheaper with more fish. Also, the Mac salad was dry and beginning to turn orange?
It's the new fad, and getting creative and mixing it up is cool.... but for 12 bucks, I don't want to be hungry leaving the place.

Honestly never going here again. Bad tasting, fish should not your main thing you sell. I ordered the salmon poke and didn't even finish my order. Let me explain. If you eat tuna, i.e. Tuna sandwich with mayo and relish and everything. You'll love their salmon poke. It tastes like can made tuna sandwiche. I would not recommend this for a poke place. I would recommend uwajimaia

I loved the food here. I'd give it 5 stars if they had more gluten-free options. The spicy creamy is there only sauce that is gluten-free. Otherwise, the fish is extremely fresh and delicious. They say they do have full gluten-free sauces coming.

This place was the only place in Portland I planned ahead of time to eat. We loved it so much we went there twice in the 5 days we were there. The best poke I have ever had, and loved that I could choose brown rice for my poke!
Jenny Haevischer
Love their food. It's so fresh and tasty! I highly recommend this place. I could eat there every day. The staff is always nice as well.

Always consistently amazing! I love a good poke bowl and this place makes them very well. Great for a tasty meal that won't weigh you down.

I had the ahi bowl the first time I went and I thought about it all week! I came back and had the salmon and garlic bowl...I didn't think it could get better. Every bite was amazing! It wasn't just the flavor but the texture and how it all married together perfectly. Can't wait to come back! ❤❤❤

I'm from Maui and I had their Kimchi Tako bowl. It was the closest thing to home that I've had here in Oregon! ❤️ My fiancé got the Ahi Bowl, and for someone who does not eat raw fish, he cleaned it! We will definitely be coming back!

This place is the real deal- fast fresh delicious and with a solid option to customize .... purely Portland delicious and as poke goes as good as it gets anywhere.

Absolutely amazing! Great staff even better food! Will be our new regular spot!

Superb food, portions decent, little spendy, but quality is exceptional. Fish melted in our mouths, both the Haw'n Ahi and the Spicy Tuna bowls. Cashier was not engaged at all. Very robotic and disinterested. Glad we went for the exemplary food!

Food was delicious & very fresh. Not 5 stars because it's pricey, 3 bowls almost $40!!! Cute place & very nice people working there⭐️

Delicious food. Our 10 year old was introduced to poke and his comment was "this is phenomenal". Good portion sizes. Fresh fish. Speedy service. We love it here.
Jaimi Marie Ybarra
Fresh and delicious!!! My favorite poke spot!
Rebecca Andersson
Yum! Winning concept of sushi, but as a bowl instead.
Alyssa Starelli
Fantastic flavor! The Hawaiian on a bed of greens wasn't enough to tide me over until dinner, but why would it be? Quinoa would be a nice alternative to rice. I look forward to try the other flavors.
