I'll start off with just 2 words...Hidden Gem!
Fist off the restaurant itself is a hidden Gem. The cuisine here is fabulous and the ambiance and decor were nice. Secondly, the entrance is hidden.... hidden inside the lobby of the Best Western it's attached to, so it took us a minute to find the entrance. The staff is very accommodating, tentative and took care of our every need.
We started off with the Beat Salad which was quite tasty, the beats and goat cheese along with the arugula played very well together. I would have preferred a little more acid in the dressing but I am an acid freak and a lot of people don't like that as much as I do. My wife ordered the Filet Mignon with roasted fingerlings and asparagus. The Filet was cooked perfectly. Nice crust on the outside and tender juicy medium on the inside. The asparagus was cooked great and had a nice snap to them. I had the Shrimp and Zucchini Risotto which was very well prepared. The rice was perfectly cooked with the right amount of cheese and the Shrimp were plump and juicy with a slight char on the outside. Overall a well balanced dish. We finished off the night with a new desert that wasn't on the menu. It was a lemon custard with a layer of crumbled gram cracker and topped with an unsweetened whipped cream which perfectly balanced out the dish.
This is a restaurant that I see myself frequenting often!
We took my 19-year-old there for her family birthday and had a fabulous time! The food was unexpectedly over the top delicious and Lexi was a fantastic server! No one mentioned that the gratuity was automatically added so I accidentally added a 25% on top but they graciously fixed the problem once I brought it to their attention. We will definitely go back there again and again and again! Such a hidden gem!
This place is AMAZING! Very chill atmosphere and EXCELLENT food. My wife got the wedge salad for an appetizer and was pretty big (I shared with her). She got the lobster Mac and cheese picture #2 and was pretty tasty as I had a couple bites. Pictures 3 & 4 was the bacon cheeseburger that I got. This was a very juicy burger with thick crispy bacon and plenty of it!!
For dessert my wife got the cheesecake picture #5 and I got the brownie with ice cream on top picture #6. Dessert was great too!!
As many have said, this is a hidden gem. Great service. Great food. Excellent Old Fashion. Decent wine list (although small). But the food is the highlight. Great steaks.
I was concerned I had arrived at the wrong place, but this restaurant is indeed inside the hotel. We were quickly seated and explained the menu and specials. Note, there are no beers on tap here. The steaks are phenomenal. Don't hesitate to get the filet, or any other cut to be honest.
Not only is their restaurant side great, but their bar side is also wonderful. They have limited items at this time, but was satisfying. The staff is friendly and remember our drink orders and made sure that we stay hydrated. The nachos here are a good size and great for sharing. The wings and quesadilla were also tasty.

Great steak, good service, and a perfect date spot!
We had the tomahawk (it's a splurge, but you won't be disappointed), a blue cheese wedge, and great cocktails & wine. Bread was served warm & toasty with quality butter. Next time, if we aren't too stuffed, we'd try dessert too!
The ambience inside is low light, classy, and intimate. Dress up and treat yourself!
This is a hidden gem! I was a guest at the Best Western and I had little to no expirations for this place. My first night I chose to eat here only because it was convenient. I had my heart set on the ribeye (which was amazing) but the server mentioned how good the Pork Chop was. After my experience this first night I decided to come back the next day and try this Pork Chop. If I would have ordered the Chop my first night I think I would have still ordered it my 2nd time around, it was that good. The service, food and drinks were all 5 star worthy. The atmosphere is out of date and could use some updating but all in all was ok. Next time I’m in the area I will definitely make a trip to this place if I’m at this hotel or not. Someone made a great decision on hiring this chef. Please go support them so he’s around the next time I come to town.
Amazing steak and service. The restaurant is way way higher than my expectation. Price is very reasonable comparing to the experience provided. It deserves more visit.
I think I was the only person there that night 8/7/18 I think is the date I was there so maybe that's why the staff were so attentive to me but I have a feeling that they are always that nice. My waitress was always around when I needed her. The ribeye had some kind of red wine sauce on it which as a beef loving Texan... I was skeptical of it at first but they did not disappoint it was fantastic. The hostess was this incredibly beautiful woman with a ship tattoo who was super sweet to me and kept calling me by name and anyone in the business world knows that is key to people being engaged in conversation. Next time I'm in Portland I'm definitely going back.
Fantastic steak house in beaverton area. Good meats. Good drinks. Duck fat fries are delicious Poor lighting.
Really good food at our first visit. Great bread, excellent ceasar salad, perfectly cooked steaks at a reasonable price. They split the ceasar at no cost which was nice.
My wife had the 6oz filet that comes over mashed potatoes and asparagus with a lobster sauce over it. I had a taste and agreed with her that it was really good! Steak was a perfect medium rare.
I had the New York Strip which was cooked just a little past medium rare, just like I ordered. I ordered the red wine demiglaze on mine which paired nicely.
The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was really not the restaurants fault. They had 2 large groups at the same time, one in the room with us was all guys who had been drinking and were really loud. There were children in the restaurant who didn't need to here constant profanity and how horrible their spouses/girlfriends are. The manager apologized and we understood, but its still part of the experience.
We'll go back again, if the atmosphere is how I anticipate I'll change the stars. Btw, our server did a good job and was very helpful.
Great food. Sweet workers. Solid steaks.
One of the best Caesar salads I've had. Such a huge portion. Much appreciated, yummy!
A hidden gem with barely a sign out front. I ate the bone in pork chop with sauteed chard greens and whipped potatoes. Delicious! The chop was perfectly seasoned and grilled; with all the meaty bits, crunchy bits and fatty bits working that bone. Yum. Might I had the greens had a touch of sweetness that nicely complumented the chop. And the potatoes! To enjoy a creamy whip that is smooth, yet textured is a win!
Thanks for a truly satisfying meal.
Found this place. Decide to go there with my mom. Immediately apologized her cuz you do smell the cigar shop, and being in a hotel. Food was amazing. Always has been. Been back many times. Drinks to take a little long. But that seems like inconsistency with business, especially being such a great place in such a hole in the wall. I recommend this place to everyone who wants a top quality steak for a median price range. You do get a Ruth Chris steak an average price point. Definitely feels like fine dining
The whole experience for my finances Birthday was excellent from waitstaff, bartender and food was on point will definitely be dining here again🙏🏾
Surprisingly not bad for being attached to a Best Western motel. Wife and I ordered the ribeye and they came out perfectly cooked.
It looks unamussing but this is a great place for a steak dinner and drinks! The whiskey sour is delicious.
Once you get past the Shilo Inn "portal" (as we and one of the owners discussed this evening), you find yourself in a warm, rustic yet classic, beautiful dining room. The fire going, soft music that allows for conversation at all tables, followed by impeccable service and food cooked to perfection. I mean that; 6oz filet mignon, mashed potatoes, and asparagus for me - best I've ever had. The filet cooked medium pulled apart without the help of a steak knife. And, come on - we all know asparagus is tough! I've never had it better cooked. Boyfriend had the smaller Rib Eye, also mashed potatoes, and a green bean "salad" that was essentially green beans in a buttermilk sauce. Delicious. And the steak was seasoned perfectly. To top it all off, a birthday dessert of brownie a la mode, though slightly salty, was more like a divine molten lava cake 💋
Thank you Lou and Dacoda for a truly lovely evening! We will be back.
