The reason no one has given these folks anything less then 4 stars because it is hands down the best, most true cup of coffee in the NW, and us NW coffee snobs know or coffee.

Best coffee at OHSU, really sad to hear that it's leaving to be replaced with other roasters !Portland...burnt, and ?Stumptown...sour.

I had a hard time in my little town up here in Washington state finding good quality Whole Bean Coffee and Loose Tea. So after much searching online I came across Kobos Coffee and ordered a flavor sampler and two different teas. Never again am I going to buy the stuff at the store, I am more then willing to wait for an order to be shipped and delivered for the taste that I got from Kobos Coffee..You all just got yourself another long time customer!

Really awesome coffee shop. Delicious black coffee. I have no idea why people overpay for Starbucks in a city where we have the world's best coffee all around us. This cafe is a hidden gem in Portland. Great retail store for coffee and kitchen supplies as well.

Kobos is Portland's original source for quality micro-roast coffee. The staff here is very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. I eat breakfast here a couple of times a week, and they always leave me feeling happy, energized and ready to face my day.

Kobos may have a reputation as an industrial roaster, but I buy beans there quite a bit and they have very good coffee for the price. Typically they have a special on a pound of beans that includes any drink you want for free, so that's cool.

The original and one of the best. This location still resembles an earlier coffee shop model where the store also sells a lot of kitchenware. There are limited food offerings at Kobos so come for the coffee, tea and brewers, not to eat.

It's really too bad they don't have more locations. I like the business model of great coffee as well as kitchen goods. Always fun to look around and always friendly staff.
