The hot buttered lobster roll is probably the best creation I've ever tasted. Grew up on the East Coast and find this roll stands tall with the best. It is a genuine thrill to enjoy fresh lobster flown in from the East Coast. The star of the show is the lobster and Maine Street Lobster Company consistently serves it up with mouth watering variations.
My favorite food truck in Portland!! Probably one of the best lobster rolls I have ever had!

Best lobster roll on the west coast. Trying the lobster pot pie this evening. It is very good. I recommend that you all go out and get some tonight.
Traveled from Ohio to Maine. This restaurant was a highlight of my trip. Food was excellent. Wait staff was friendly and detail oriented. Decor was awesome. If I lived in Maine this place would be a regular stop for me.
We came over from north Portland. Tried both of the lobster tools. Our favorite is the hot and buttery hands down. Well worth the 15 mile drive.
I had a lobster roll it was every bit as good as on Cape Cod
I'm from New England...hands down the greatest lobster rolls and bisque I've ever had.

My husband and his co-worker just had the lobster roll at the Bethany location. He said it was delicious...reminded him of our favorite little place to eat in St. John, USVI, called The Tourist Trap.
What a treat! My wife and I are from Maine and this was a wonderful surprise. We loved that it was fresh and authentic to Maine. The bisque was fantastic as was the lobster roll. If that wasn't enough, we got service with a smile. Thank you. We'll be back soon!
Thankfully, a hero has arrived. David Beavers and Cathy Evanson came to visit Portland in September of 2013 to blue skies and sunshine and a visit to Cartlandia. They noticed that there was a niche that was unfulfilled – seafood. Two weeks later, they road-tripped from their home in Orlando Florida to start a food cart – Maine Street Lobster Company.
One of the things I miss the most about living in Portland (besides my family. I should say that first rightt, my family and my mom's cooking) is lobster. I'm a sucker for when I see lobster on the menu, and think longingly back to the ease of getting lobster when I was in Chicago or Boston in my past. Thankfully Maine Street Lobster Company is to the rescue, with a new brick and mortar location in Bethany Village.
Rainy Day visit. We caught a break on a rainy day and stopped in to Cartlandia. I tried my first ever Fried Oyster Po'Boy. The presentation value is fantastic (see photo). The flavors were great, my only criticism being that the amount of meat is somewhat overwhelmed by the amount of bread and lettuce. But it hit the spot. It also comes with a small container of cole salad, which I enjoyed, and some potato chips.
This place is certainly expensive, but it does cost money to pump dopamine into your tongue. This butter drenched bun full of of friggin lobster is worth the splurge.
We finally made it to this food cart and I am so glad we did. The whole reason we stopped at Cartlandia on this day, was for this food cart. The Lobster Rolls are supposed to be the best on the west. I have even seen people from the East coast say that they are legit. We started by ordering the Maine Lobster Roll (hot and buttery). One bite and I was convinced.
When a food writer from Maine recommends lobster Rolls to a former Boston chef you know it's worth giving them a try. Fresh product, cooked properly; an accurate rendition of the classic. Slaw was interesting. Lobster bisque needed seasoning, a bit more cream and could have been reduced a touch more. Definitely needed to be served at a higher temperature but the Lobster Rolls will not disappoint .
We are so happy you settled in Portland! My lobster po boy was absolutely wonderful and we thank you for fixing my husbands on the roll that we brought with us so he could have one too. He said the scallop and oyster combination was perfect. I had worried that the Cajun spices might be to hot so you served that sauce on the side. I put the whole container of it on my sandwich because it was so good. (not too spicy at all). It added just the right amount of zing. The slaw was also very light and fresh tasting ,probably due to the fact that it had no mayonnaise in it. Nest time we visit you we will bring young man that lives with us as he loves lobster as much as I do. We hope you stay in the area and that your business prospers.
The lobster meat is delicious and they give you quite a bit of it. I liked the butter provided with the roll, too. The roll itself was fresh and crunchy. The potato chips are crunchy and tasty. The snow crab appetizer was also good but not fully cracked, so be careful with the shells.
Wicked good! lobstah!!! Had the Down East roll it was better what I have had on Desert Island, ME. Wow! I'm so happy that I can get lobster in Portland.
