The Sudra - Portland - Photo album

Nice to have an all vegan option. If you’re craving stereotypical American Indian you might be disappointed. This restaurant is more of a modern vegan PNW take on Indian cuisine. Ingredients were fresh. Lots of indo-Chinese influence. Staff was nice. Outdoor seating available. The “small plates” are
We loved the ambiance of the outdoor seating, and we had a nice amount of space for our elderly dog napping in his stroller next to our table. The staff was really nice and friendly. I had a mango lassi to drink, and my husband had a cocktail. I liked the mango lassi, but I hadn't realized how thick
A lovely spot with subtle lighting and candles, vintage Bollywood movie posters. A great restaursnt to bring your vegan date and impress them. I enjoyed the Indo-Chinese Soy Curl Dish and the Chana Masala was tasty. The staff was very polite and professional.
This was my second time to The Sudra, though my first time to this location. Everything I've ordered has been amazing. The service, the quality, flavor, freshness of the food ~ all wonderful. This time around I ordered the Pakora Banana Split for dessert. Hands down the best $10 I ever spent! I'm n
It was so wonderful to finally make it into The Sudra for dinner. Everything is perfectly seasoned and delicious. The staff is friendly, and the space is adorable. All the food was so delicious, that I absolutely could not choose a favorite. We ordered the chicken -less tikka masala bowl, the chickp
Interesting and healthy take on Indian food. Loved the flavours. We had lentil kofta and chickpea cutlet, and it was yummy.. loved the way they blended kale in Indian cuisine. Small platter might not be sufficient for one person.
Reminded me of the home flavours . You will never know it's vegan , definitely worth giving a shot, if you are into vegan or Indian. Warm host, unique blend of flavours and good take on Indian Vegan cuisine . We had the jackfruit vindaloo bowl, The vegan thali with Chettinad "Chicken", The only iss
Amazing Indian fusion food, the best I’ve ever had.
Underrated! It's Indian inspired menu tastes more authentic than most Indian restaurants in Portland or dare I all say the entire country. Everything is cooked just right! Rich in flavor but no excessive oil or cream. Whether you are vegan or not dont matter, it is simply delicious
Beautifully presented plant based Indian. Delicious to palate your other four senses.
As a gf vegan going out can get kinda boring. The Sudra is a fantastic disruptor of that! Met friends for dinner. We ordered at the counter and were served outside. Friendly staff, quick turnaround, and lots of happy bellies. I got the Kale Infused Dosa Plate which had great flavors and the dosa was
More fusion than Indian but if you get over that, it's pretty tasty. Samosas don't look or taste like samosas but the tangy tamarind sauce was yummy. The tofu kale rice bowl was flavorful. The process wasn't my favorite; QR Code on the table, order and pay online, food is brought out to you. Kinda f
A must go if you are at Portland and have to go if you are vegan. Great food, amazing taste and very efficient staff. The food has Indian taste and modern presentation and combinations. Tamarind lime drink is so good.
We ordered Soy chicken drumsticks, Indo Chinese soy noodles, Saag paneer, and Chickpea cutlet plate, and all the items were good.
Second time back at The Sudra and the lunch special was fantastic - the saag “paneer” and kale salad were both delicious and filling. Nothing we have eaten here has disappointed. Be prepared to wait for your food, we unfortunately ordered after two medium tables and waited ~45 mins. Despite the wait
