Cozy brewery. Great beer selections. Came in for lunch. We had the quarter chicken with beans and the pulled pork sandwich with collard greens. It was amazing. Keeping in mind you may need some extra napkins for the pulled pork sandwich! Service was awesome. Will definitely go back again!

Small little Brewery tucked in off of E. Burnside. This location was actually the Original spot for Laurelwood Brewing when they started in 2001. Now it's owned and operated by a Husband and Wife whom used to live in the U.K.. Well rounded ales with quality pub grub. Very friendly staff. I believe the host a Dart League as well as a Scrabble group too.

I've been here every week after our Toastmasters meetings. The service couldn't be better. They have a regular menu and a brunch menu on weekends. Their food is always good. They have a good selection of beer, and their bloody mary is just what you'd want with breakfast. I recommend a visit.

This is my favorite pub in all of Portland and here's why... The staff takes the time to get to know you by name & always has a friendly smile & a great beer recommendation. The service is always exceptional & they know how to brew fantastic beer! I highly recommend either the WarHead IPA or Hop Heaven IPA. The prices are great for standard pub food, and the friendly, family-oriented atmosphere makes it a very relaxing place to chill.

Big portions, very tasty food and good prices. I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was quite good. Lots of excellent beer choices. I tried 2 ipas and both quite tasty. Server was cool too.

After a hard day of hunting for vintage bargains. A nice cup of chili and a very good IPA just hits the spot.

The food is pub grub, but is freshly made. They have a great BLTA, delicious soups, and excellent beer-battered fries. Matt always offers excellent service and the beers are solid. The stout is award-winning and the IPAs are well-balanced.

Great beer; Hop Heaven WILL take you there. Food is good and the service outstanding. Nice clean environment and friendly service make this an outstanding pub. But it is the beer that is the star here. Don't get me wrong the food is good, service great, ambience excellent, but if you want to taste good craft beer, then this is your kind of place. The stout is excellent, as was the WarHorse, which is a a beer that not only tastes good but packs a pachyderm punch. Overall, I would rate this establishment the best brew pub I have been to in the Portland area.

This pub has a winning combination of outstanding beer and food, along with a friendly staff. It is our favorite neighborhood spot. In my opinion, War Elephant is the best IPA is Portland. The pizza compares with any of the local pizza shops in the area.

I didn't eat or drink, and had no interaction with staff; but I was there today to play in their bluegrass jam. This wonderful bar/restaurant has a jam every Sunday at 2 pm. It's terrific fun!

I've had the pleasure of visiting this place three times. Two of those visits I dined in. Each time I was served quickly, and shown the variety of ipa's they brew, and a short menu that made your selection a task. What I will say is their entree's are top shelf. I've had their Burger which are the best in the Hollywood district. Ive tasted their ribs when they are available, they are right there with Reo's. And the pull pork was speechless, cause you to busy smacking. And I always have my favorite ipa. I can't remember the name but my server remembered what I had the last visit. How's that for customer service. I like the people there and I like it's not one those loud type of bars. Amosphere is always calm and relaxing. Good place for a meeting or first date.

My wife and I have lunch here at least twice a week. First, great people who greet you by your first name when you walk in. Lynne and Heather have even made us cocktails, off the menu, with recipes that we have brought in. Love the beer, nachos, the fish and chips, and the Reuben sandwich... definitely the best in Portland...maybe anywhere!

We're semi-regulars. Being that we don't go out to eat that often, this is one of our favorite places to go. We split a Patty melt for dinner. Good flavor and well prepared. Try their War Elephant IPA. I think it's one of the best around.

Best beer in Portland, made with care and love by expert brewmaster, and proprietor Rick. He actually uses original, sometimes centuries-old recipes to create beer as it was, is, and should always be. The food is hearty, well cooked and tasty. The hostess and lovely bartender, Lynn, is the cheeriest and most welcoming soul, ensuring you feel welcome in this diamond of a brew pub.
