Open Tandoor - Portland - Photo album

DELICIOUS, LOCAL & MINDFULLY SOURCED INGREDIENTS I live in Eugene but I LOVE getting takeout from Open Tandoor when I’m up here in Portland. Their restaurant has a very family feel and the food I’ve gotten had always been delicious. My family consists of vegans as well as meat eaters and there’s
As an Indian trying Indian food in US can be disappointing, but Open Tandoor certainly has to be the exception. I tried the chicken wrap which is essentially chicken wrapped inside garlic naan. Host was exceptional. Open Tandoor has to be one of my must try, in Portland
The chicken naan wrap is amazing. First, the sheer size is breathtaking. Secondly, it will fill you up for the day!
I’ve been missing good Indian food. Nice staff, complimentary chai! This place has good spices, excellent flavor. Tandoor, means open kitchen. Clean, fresh, casual, atmosphere. I’ll be back!
Impressive...well worked tandoor and very tasty, affordable, "classic" Indian dishes. Wish I hadn't waited so long to try it.
The food and chicken is excellent! Nice kids meal option. $10 lunch special.
Went here while waiting for a tow truck after my car died. Honestly, I didn't notice the sign and had no idea what kind of food they had, I just wanted to be indoors and went to the nearest open restaurant. But I'm glad I did! I got a chicken wrap and it was very good. Also had some wine which was r
Went there with friend, had lunch special of 2 half orders of butter chicken and chicken curry, chai, and big flat crispy pancake.
This place is amazing I don’t know why it’s not more frequented. Given the shortage of staff the food is not immediate but the quality of deliciousness is definitely worth the wait!! My go to place for tikka masala and butter chicken. $11 Lunch special for two dishes us unbeatable!!!
Great food! Spices are spot on and unique. Services is prompt and friendly. Great place for a chill get together with friends or a date. Veggie Pakoras are the best I've ever had. I'd recommend anyone to go out of their way to try it out.
Wow was this good. One of the best Indian places I've eaten at. Definitely the best naan I've had. Also, don't be deterred if you don't see a lot of people sitting down to eat, they do a steady stream of takeout. It's a great sit down place to eat as well. I'll definitely be coming here regularly.
Simply wonderful food. Had the Lamb Saab, garlic naan, and buttered chicken all was delicious and the portion sizes were just right. I would highly recommend. Huge gluten free selection. The 1-10 spice scale is definitely set to American, so if you like it spicy be sure to go past 8.
Had lunch there again today, and the food was great as usual. Tried the Pakoras for the first time and they were sublime. Portion size is good, the food reminds me on Mom's cooking in India, and the ingredients are all organic. Love this place, and it's already become my top choice in Portland.
