Our toast begins with a slice of @grandcentralbakery Peasant Levain bread which is topped with a thin layer of guajillo chile oil* (don’t worry it isnt spicy :D ). We add a creamy layer of smashed avocado, which is topped with, a handful of pepitas (pumpkin seeds) and our not so secret spice mix of ancho chile powder, cumin,sesame seeds, and love. We then add house pickled red onions, and finally the star of this dish; chapulines**.

“They are collected only at certain times of year (from their hatching in early May through the late summer/early autumn). They are toasted on a comal (cast iron skillet). Portland Chocolate Laboratory has created our syrups with NO CANE SUGAR. Instead they have used coconut sugar, which is very high quality.
Our cardamom mocha is a perfect blend of velvety chocolate goodness, herbally and nutty cardamom and a perfect sweetness! Imagine drinking chocolate and Fall had a baby :D
