I love Mixteca. I've been eating here monthly and am never disappointed! I order extra mole sauce and pour it over the tamales.

Visited the Portland Mercado location on Foster. Got a veggie tamale with mole sauce on the side; masa was moist and not too dense, and mole sauce was very tasty. Keep up the great work!

I have only been to their station at the Montavilla Farmers Market. The food I had was fantastic. I never thought I liked Tamales but their tamales are SO good. My favorite is the Popeye Tamale it's vegetarian and has spinach, it's delicious smothered in salsa Verde. One of these days I will check out the brick and mortar restaurant.

A family run restaurant serving food from the Oaxaca region of Mexico. A wide ranging menu with tamales, tacos , burritos, and daily specials. I called and ordered pork tamales (chileajo), a chicken mole taco and a red hibiscus drink. The order was ready in about ten minutes. The taco was wrapped in a blue corn tortilla with black beans, rice, chicken and three kinds of sauces were included. It had a good balance of flavors and was very good. The tamales were covered with a red mole sauce and balanced the flavors nicely. A very good tamale and not to spicy. Currently accepting take-out orders with delivery options available. A great place place to eat regional Mexican food with daily specials and a wide range of tamales.

We love the authentic fresh food, great prices and service. We frequent this neighborhood favorite and so happy we found such a gem. Summer months are great for margaritas on the patio. Highly recommend for those with dietary restrictions. Nearly everything is gluten free, vegan options and house-made corn tortillas. Yum!!

Woah! I got the special with pork cushion and the hibiscus tea. I might be addicted. My boyfriend got the mole chicken. I've never had mole that I LOVE. We also got chips and salsa. They ran out of horchata, but the incredible quality and taste of the food made up for that. The red salsa was actually spicy and so good. The salsa Verde was just amazing. I love this place. I will be bringing people here as much as I can.

Mixteca is awesome! This chicken burrito was different than most, I think they used the chicken mole in the burrito which is new for me. It added an interesting depth to the burrito and I would eat it again, any day! We also ordered a standard chicken mole plate, but by the time I got it home it didn't look nearly as pretty as the burrito..so no pictures. Everything was really delicious and the staff was really friendly and quick for how busy they were!

We had passed by this place many times, and finally decided to try it. The food was really really good! We had the chicken quesadilla, ceviche, carnitas burrito and tomatillo tamale. Really large filling portions, and nice music in the restaurant. There is water at the table which is nice to serve yourself. We will be back!

I had the Mole Oaxaqueño plate, was very good. Portions are generous. I talked to the owner, very nice down to earth lady. I will be back for sure.

I was told about mixteca from a friend of mine. He told me that the food and the sauces get as close to his mother's cooking as possible. He is from oaxaca and enjoys coming here for a taste of home. I enjoyed the food very much. The establishment was clean and spacious.

Great Oaxacan food! Their specialty is tamales. It’s not on the menu but I got a burrito mojado con salsa de mole negra. So good!

The food at Mixteca is Amazing!! While waiting I decided to look them up and it looks like they are transitioning from another location. They get 4 stars for the food alone!

For real, I just had THEE BEST burrito of my entire life. And I don't even like burritos! Rice, AND beans, AND tortilla - naw bruh, too much starch for this low-carb girl. But they swapped out the beans with guacamole for me, and the steak was cooked perfectly, and OH MY GAH I'm coming here allllll of the time now 👏🏾🌯👏🏾🌯

Some of the best authentic Mexican Cuisine I've had on the entire West Coast. The service was fantastic, the atmosphere was one of a family dining room. It was truly a first class and unexpected experience. Not to mention I had an entire meal, complete with a taco and chips and salsa and was still able to leave a tip out of a ten dollar bill! Definitely will be coming here anytime I have a hankerin' for some Mexican food
