My wife is Polish (meaning from the actual country, not an American of Polish descent) and I've travelled to Poland several times myself. I have to say that most of the Polish restaurants we've gone to around the US are traditional and very similar. At Bar Dobre you're getting a good chef's take on Polish food, not just a cook making the same old thing. We showed up for brunch which doesn't have the full dinner menu. However the chef came out to talk to us and make some barscz (beet soup), pierogi (dumplings) and nalesniki (crepes). Everything was good and he came out several times to talk with us about the food which was awesome. They also have a good selection of Polish beer, including the hard to find and excellent Warka Strong. Highly recommend Bar Dobre for great food, value and above and beyond service!

Fantastic Polish Food It is difficult to find Polish restaurants. There are a few carts and a few Slavic establishments but this is a Polish Restaurant and bar that is worth a visit. Great Pierogies, sauerkraut, kielbasa and Vodka.
