Dr. Jack’s…named after the Portland Trailblazer infamous hall of Fame Coach Jack Ramsey. who guided the Blazers to our only Championship in 1977. To put a watering hole/pre game and during game bar and restaurant is brilliant at the South Gate of the Moda Center. And who better to salute…then the Blazers iconic Coach.
We have always made Dr. Jacks our meeting spot for the Blazers season games. Food, drink, gathering and amping up for the game.
They have modified there menu, due to Covid, they have taken all the proper measures to make it a safe, clean and casual locale. I enjoy the Porter, the flat bread and some Tv time with buddies. It’s pricey, but everything is pricey at Moda. You might as well gather and enjoy the food and endless options for drinks.

I’m not one for bad reviews typically because I know there can be off days… this wasn’t one of them. Our bartender was kind I’ll stick with that, but drinks listed were t available, requested tequila was ignored and then when it came to food… not good. The foods taste was not good and then when I lifted the salsa a bunch of web, hair and dust lifted up as well. We went to tell someone and there response was “yea, that’s just melted plastic. We’ve been having an issue.” For a place that is prime location, they’re not supported and apparently it’s so normal to have something that gross brought to their attention that they will admit it’s happening to multiple guests and they’re not going to change it.

Literally the worst customer service I've ever experienced. No signage designating that some lines are drinks only, no attempt to communicate that half the menu is not available, waited 30 mins in line only to have the cashier person walk away and not return. After a few minutes I asked another employee who was walking by if the cashier was coming back, he just shrugged and continued on his way.

We got to the Moda Center early for the Blazer Game...As it got closer to game time, it got busy...plenty of spaces to sit (although not necessarily at a table)...prices were extremely high for the quality and quantity served. Had a “gummy bear martini” and it was very sweet (which I enjoy) however the cost was crazy higher and would not recommend it for the charge. My husband had the RipCity Trail Cat and it was good & worth the price since it was a good size cup....We shared the Pretzel Sticks with Nacho Green Chile Cheese & order of Cheesy Bread with Marina & Ranch. The Pretzels were hot and moist - the cheese AMAZING...the cheesy bread was disappointing...overall it’s convenient but not worth the heavy price tag

47 minutes to order a drink. This is the third time we have tried this location and the best time was a poor experience. This time was a train wreck. A train filled with clowns. Slow slow moving clowns. The line was about 15 deep on each of the 2 tills open. 5 people in front of me bailed or it would have been much worse. Same drinks inside would have taken about 20 minutes. We gave up on food. I thought an hour and a half would be plenty to have a drink and bite. Way wrong. Save the headache and just eat some of the moda food. Quality is the same and price is better in the venue amazingly enough. 15 dollars for an anemic pizza here. Or better yet get food elsewhere before. Literally anywhere else.

Disappointed. Food and beer were extremely expensive. Food poor quality. I sincerely hope if you're visiting Portland for any reason you don't end up here. Service was meh. Food was worse. 32$ for 2 beers and an awful plate of nachos. Nachos were smothered in some type of sour cream cheese sauce. This place exists solely because of their location relative to the Moda center. Do not come here if you can help it. Even the kid next to me doesn't like his pizza. Yikes.

Super friendly attentive staff. Good fast service and great appetizers and drinks! You must stop here prior to your next event at the Rose Quarter! Seating and stand up bar service available.

Location is great for pregame drink and snack. Good drinks. Good vibe. Over priced. Would give 3 stars but the location is great.

Give this place a pass unless you want to drink a bunch of cheap beer and wake up feeling shitty. Lousy food. Couldn’t get the drink order straight. Wine in a plastic glass. Yikes!!

My husband and I came for Boo Bomb as our anniversary falls on Boo Bomb every year so we came to the bar to pre game. We ordered a Philly cheesesteak and it was out so fast. The chef, Calvin, came out and made sure everything was as we liked and if there was anything he could do for us. We were splitting the sandwich so we had wanted it cut in half which he happily did. It was hot, cheesy, and full of great flavor. The only thing I would change would be the amount of garlic they use in their "garlic" chips. The chips were the perfect crunch but when I hear garlic chips, I think I'm going to get some serious garlic flavor. But I'm just being picky now. Food was great, service was great, and the servers and chef were amazing.

Our first visit was yesterday before the blazer game, we ordered the spinach artichoke dip, buffalo chicken, brisket sliders and the flatbread pepperoni all were very good. Our waiter was so nice and food was brought out very prompt. My only complaint is that after I paid our waiter I wanted to leave him a tip (I wasn’t given the option to leave one when he took my card) so I went over to TWO different cashiers one said she didn’t know how to work the register and sent me to the other cashier next to her at a different cooking station and that cashier said she couldn’t and to ask my waiter. WTF?! I left without leaving my waiter a tip.

For a sports area restaurant the food was very good,I had the ceasar chicken wrap and a salad and one drink. It’s casual and not fancy but just my food and 1 drink came to $35.00. Spendy but being as there’s no parking around but at the coliseum most want an eating place fairly close by. But my food was very good.

Food was good, but our service was terrible. We were greeted quickly, but after 45 minutes, we had gotten up, got our drinks at the bar since we never received our order from the server, and also got our own food since that never showed up either. It wasn’t even busy when we got there! After an hour, we spotted our server and cancelled our orders. I can get a decent philly without being forgotten somewhere else.

I've been there a few times, and it's not spectacular. But it is close and convenient during rose quarter events. . .when it's open. My beef is that it's hard to find out whether or not they'll be open on a particular day before a particular event before showing up. What a hassle to get parked and walk all the way in, only to find that it is closed. We have been burned one time too many. I won't be going back, even if they are open and the only place around there.

Well if you have to stand in line for 45 mins just to get beers, totally not worth it... They never have enough staff ....

I don’t know how much training these waitresses have but the waitress we had was overwhelmed and there wasn’t even a crowd, we placed our order and after 45 minutes I went up to ask about it and they said they would check on it after another 10 minutes our food came we ordered another drink and that took 20 minutes and we asked for our bill the waitress said she would take off one two of the drinks for our inconvenience.
When the bill came they had doubled the total amount we should pay when we finally got her attention she apologized again and said she voided the first transaction and we paid the corrected bill on another card.
I just received my bank statement and they never voided the transaction so now I have try to get a hold of someone because I’m not paying an extra 80.00 dollars and from some of the previous comments I’m sure this will not go smoothly.
My advice pay in cash and check there addition !!!!!

The food wasn't good. The drinks sat for too long, before being servered.. the server sad the computer didn't tell her the food and drinks were ready but the food was cold and drinks were watery. The server disappeared a lot. We were there for about 1.5 hrs and saw her twice. She wasn't friendly.

Great atmosphere! Great beer. The food is fine, for what it is, but the service can be very slow. We scored some fabulous flatbread and poppers yesterday!
Jesse Kennedy
The drinks were great... Food was a little dry and delivered super fast. A little pricey for what you get.

Great atmosphere. Fantastic music.
Not enough bathrooms! Not enough waiters. Waited so long for drinks and food. Super long lines

My husband and I came before the Blazer game looking forward to having the mac and cheese and it wasn't on the menu...:(
Please bring it back. So good with the pulled pork and bbq sauce added.

It's a hot mess. No organization to it at all. Waited over an hour and 15 minutes for three sandwiches one was a cold wrap!

Great food...nachos the bomb with jalapeño nacho cheese! Fresh veggies! Service was great and they totally catered to my teenager! Does get packed before events so go early!
