First time visiting this establishment, and I had 5 teenagers in tow. We were seated promptly, and our waitress was prompt and friendly. When my daughters friend stated that she had allergies when ordering, the waitress listened carefully, then assured her that the only concern was sesame seed, which she stated were only used in the salad area, but she would alert the kitchen. Almost immediately, another woman came and confirmed the allergens, and repeated that sesame was prepared in the salad area. She stated that sesame was not used near the pizza prep area or ovens, but as a precaution had asked staff to wash hands and use latex gloves when preparing her pizza to ensure there was no chance of cross contamination. My young friend thanked the staff and apologized for “being a bother,” and your staff had exactly the correct response when she said, “You are not a bother at all. Thank you for telling us and making sure we do what we can. You don’t have anything to apologize for.”
That said, the food was delicious, service great, and atmosphere fantastic. We will certainly be back.
So good, great staff, and the guy at the oven was totally on top of his game. What a great place to sit and drink a great Portland wheat beer, and eat a yummy flat-bread pizza with the freshest ingredients available. It was SO good, and I miss it already!
Can this place get any better?! It's my absolute favorite place to eat in Portland! The food tastes amazing, and it's the healthiest pizza and desserts you will ever find! Did I mention the salads are also amazing?! I could seriously eat here everyday! ...and it's right by the ferry terminal so take the ferry ride to Peaks Island for the day, and then come back and eat Pizza. YUM! :-)
Although the line was long and we were told the wait would be 45 minutes, we sat down in 10 and had a fantastic salad, pizza and even tried a flight of a variety of different beer!
Delicious pizza & salad with a fine beer selection, wife loved her gluten-free flatbread. An eco-conscious touch and energetic place.
Great food. Great service. Vegan and Gluten Free options available. Our service and food were prompt. Local and organic sourcing of food. Nice way to finish the day. You have fans in Michigan. Thank you!

So very good. We had to wait a bit, but so what!!! It was really worth the wait! The staff was perfect and the pizza was so delicious

Great pizza, service was terrific I think her name was Clara, or Sara it was hard to hear but she was a great server, fun place we will definitely be back on our next visit
Delicious meal with great table overlooking the water! Love all the unique and fresh pizza topping combinations. Always grateful for Flatbread's generosity in supporting local non-profits, too!
One of my favorite restaurants in Maine. The staff is always wonderful and if you can get a seat near the ovens and watch the pizza oven master at work, it's like watching a ballet. ❤️
Great food and server. Loved their local beer and whisky cocktail. Their pizza and pizza bread is quite unique. I had pepperoni mushroom pizza. It was delicious. Their brownie Sundae was also quite good
Great food, solid selection of local beers and a good view of the bay.
You can get pizza or flat breads, the homemade red sauce is absolutely delicious, had to catch a plane, so couldn't take any with me :-(
I will definitely recommend to anyone visiting Portland and will return next time I'm in town.
I have lived in the area my whole life, but this was the first visit to Flatbread. Definitely worth the wait!
I had the Pepperoni and Mushroom flatbread and it was fantastic. We enjoyed a cocktail overlooking the waterfront and all was well.
Now I understand the huge lines I see during the summer. This place is legit!
After 5 or 6 seafood meals in a row, maybe you are in the mood to change it up a little. Wood fired pizza would be at the top of my list. It was later like after 8 and we sat at the bar, our bartender was great and treated us like kings. We sampled some of the local beers and ordered a few pizzas. I ate the entire thing. Nuff said.
We were referred here from the front desk at the HGI across the street and so glad we came in! I had a seasonal salad with strawberries and goat cheese and it was AMAZING. Flatbread were great and drinks as well. Will return again if we're in the area!

Went here with a friend and shared a Large Jay's Heart pizza. Came out very quick and was a fantastic pie.
The environment is very bubbly and cozy, with a nice modern rustic feel it. It was also very clean, spacious, and felt safe.
Would definitely come back for another bite!
Great salads and flavorful pizza with fresh ingredients. Nice ambience and friendly staff.
We shared the PE, it was delicious! The atmosphere was cozy but industrial. We loved watching the pizza being made. The customer service was great, everyone was very helpful and friendly. Tables were safely spaced.
