I was craving sushi for my birthday dinner. There is no shortage of sushi restaurants in Portland so we did our research and settled on Sapporo. In short, we made the right choice. The service was very good and the food was better. The freshest sushi I have ever had, especially the tuna!! Great variety of sake to choose from also. We chose a great unfiltered brand. If you are in Portland Maine and want sushi, head straight to Sapporo!!
A Great place for some classic sushi and specialty sushi. If you have a large group, I suggest getting a platter, will run you a few more dollars but for amount it's worth it.
The miso soup is always good.
Also got a few Saki to choose from, warm and cold, of course.
Overall a great place to stop for a bite, when your out on the town.
They are also very Covid Conscious.

Very good food, very fresh sushi! Brought our kids here and it was very nice to sit outside on the patio with them. Great service and all around a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

Delicious sushi and sashimi at a good price. I really liked how the toasted sesame seeds complemented the rolls. Sashimi was nice and fresh.
