Thanh Thanh 2 has great Pho! Our family thinks it's the best in town. The spring rolls are great too, and the peanut sauce is to die for. The restaurant has a very friendly staff and the environment has an authentic feel. It's affordable, delicious and welcoming. You'll feel like you are in Vietnam as long as you don't look out the window onto Forest ave. This is the only place we eat Pho.
We love this place for Pho. My husband has been coming here for some years. Always dine in though if getting pho. We feel you get less when you try to do take out.
We live in New Hampshire and whenever we are in the area we always stop in. Great Pho & Pad Thai. The service is excellent and your order is on the table before you know it. Everything is perfectly seasoned and nice size portions. I also love the GOI CUON TOM GA Spring Rolls & the Shrimp Bikini. I love the Pho with raw beef & the Pad Thai with the level 4 spice. One thing I look for whenever I eat out at any ethnic restaurant ( and I mean this in the most sincere way ) If it is an Italian restaurant and you Italians eating there or a Thai restaurant and you see Asians eating there then that is a major indication of how good the food must be. We love this place and we have turned on so many of our friends to it. So do yourself a favor. Stop in and have a great meal
Shady looking place with shady looking customers, but with fantastic food. 10/10. Their sate style phos are what I would recommend.
We've gone here almost every week for about 2 years now. This is my favorite pho in Portland! Don't judge a book by it's cover. It's better than a place in Montreal that had a line out the door of people waiting to get it.
Food is excellent, service is quick, but the interior could use a little cleaning and update.
Hats off to Thanh Thanh 2!! I've visited many Vietnamese places and went to this location on a total whim. We were driving down the street on the way to our hotel from Allagash Brewing Company (food is 20% overpriced there by my opinion) and we randomly pulled-in. There are actually ~3 Vietnamese restaurants within a couple blocks of eachother here.
We were pleasantly surprised!
The restaurant and bathrooms were good.
The staff was very kind.
The menu pricing is affordable and fair.
The food was really good! I'm likely to go back next time I visit Allagash!
