Best place to get French Onion Soup, children menu has so many choices, excellent customer service,. Warm welcoming atmosphere.
So good! We've been taking things to go even before the pandemic. We just prefer eating with each other's company, comfortably in our own home. I will say that should we ever want to take off our comfy clothes and go out to a sit down dinner. Farrell's will be one if if not the 1st stop on our list. All in all just one of our favorite places for our Friday dinner spots!
There was no disappointment in choosing Farrell’s to cater my wedding that was on 10/10...
Despite having another large wedding to cater that day, he was able to accommodate my party of 70.
I originally was going to go the hors d’oeuvre Avenue, and thought in order to get a true essence of the delicious Ness of the Italian dishes, as I read so many wonderful reviews... I made the choice to really feed my friends and family very well!
I decided to go with their meat lasagna, meatballs, Alfredo Penne as well as there are lemon chicken and roasted potatoes. Their garden salad was also very delicious as well as their cheese platter.
Everything was absolutely delicious, I had more people complementing me on how everything was so tasty.
My new husband and I literally brought the leftovers onto our RV excursion to the mountains of Pennsylvania. We enjoyed immensely the leftovers nothing went to waste.
The night of the wedding I was knocking on neighbors doors, to share the leftovers because I did not want anything to go to waste.
If you have not already found your way to Farrell’s, I highly recommend you do 😃
My husband & I celebrated my mom's birthday at lunch today. We have eaten at Farrell's over the years, but today's lunch was outstanding due to the efforts of a new chef! My salad included mini mozzarella balls, black olives, roasted red peppers, and wonderful polenta croutons! My husband & Mom were
equally impressed with their meals of brisket sandwich on a brioche bun & chicken parm. The carrot cake was fantastic & the Reese's peanut butter pie was sinfully good! Sarah provided excellent service & the option of eating outside on the covered porch was greatly appreciated! We highly recommend trying Farrell's again if you haven't been in a while.
Pleasantly surprised, expected more traditional American fare but there were many interesting appetizers and entries! That said, if you like fish and chips, their's was the best I've had in CT!
Food was delish!! I recomend the stuffed mushrooms that dish was amazing. And rhe dried pickles....muuaahhh!!!! The staff was great as well, bery polite and attenative. If I am ever in Conneticut again I will definently make resevations at Farrell's again!
Remember the show Cheers? Well, Farrell's feels like an everybody-knows-your-name kind of place. The regular I entered with was casually greeted by name and everyone seemed to know one another. The staff were wonderful and the food was decent. This created an ambiance which helped compensate for the serious lack of character and esthetics in the building. The prices were higher than expected but there were plenty of menu options, including (weekly?) specials which were recommended by the regulars.
The fries were probably my favourite food item of the night (unusual for me), and the pasta was cooked perfectly (so hard to find!). If I had to guess, I would say they have a great cook who is making the best of standard ingredients.
The bartender mixes a mean drink from a small but varied seasonal cocktail menu; I highly recommend the spiked cider.
The food was amazing. I was looking for a nice clean pub feel where everyone knows each but we could be incognito. I had the Cheeseburger in Paradise Salad. It was really really good. Both my brother and husband had sirloin beef tips. They were mouth watering. The portions were so generous, that we all brought leftovers home for lunch the next day.
