Stumbled into this wonderful place while walking in Poulsbo, it is down a short alley and can be found to the left of the bakery. The food is fantastically authentically German, I have the Wienerschnitzel with Spatzel and Potato salad (German style, served warm). My wife had the Jaeger-schnitel, we both loved the food. It is a wonderful little slice of Germany, without the airfare.

Knowing we would be in Poulsbo, Washington, today, I started looking for a new place to try for lunch and was excited coming across this EuroPub called Tizleys.
Unfortunately, not everyone will experience Tizley's because they are located upstairs and, to my knowledge, have no elevator, just a long set of stairs to conquer. This was my reason behind four star and not five.
After looking through their very reasonable size menu and picking what we wanted to order, we were met with disappointment when our server said lunch didn't start until noon. Lunch was part of why we chose Tizley's, but we were starving and didn't want to hold out for lunch; I wonder why they don't start at 11 am? So breakfast it was!
Knowing I wouldn't be able to consume the sheer amount of food that most of the breakfasts offered, I ordered a half order of Biscuits and Gravy, and my hubby had the Germany-Holstein Schnitzel.
My Biscuits and Gravy was straightforward, a single biscuit cut in half layered with their house-made gravy! I can't even begin to tell you how scrumptious the biscuit and gravy were; aside from the tasty, delightful ingredients they used in that gravy mix, the biscuit had a nice little crunch to it, and I would be put to shame if I didn't tell you that there was plenty of gravy on it, no skimping there!
My husband was also impressed by his Germany-Holstein Schnitzel. If you're wondering what a Schnitzel is, it's a thick boneless cutlet traditionally made from veal. However, pork, chicken, and beef can be used as well. In this case, it was pork in this Schnitzel. The cutlet is then breaded with breadcrumbs then pan-fried or deep-fried.
His meal also came with house-made gravy; two eggs topped that and hashbrowns on the side. I had a little taste of his pork schnitzel, and he was right; it was good!
So there are no regrets about having breakfast instead of lunch, the food was fabulous!
Tizley's is on the smaller side, cute, a tad dated but comfy, and charming in feel and family-owned.
Our server, Bryce H., two thumbs up to you, my friend; you were attentive, not overbearing, friendly, courteous, and had a great smile!
What I understand is most stuff is house-made and locally sourced.
So do I recommend Tizley's? Most definitely for breakfast, and as good as their breakfast was, I doubt lunch would disappoint!
Don't forget Tizley's to-go counter and gift shop next to Sluy's Bakery on the main street.
Tizley's Euro pub is located at 18928 Front Street Northeast, Poulsbo, Washington. They are located above Truelux Candles & Gifts and Crimson Cove Smokehouse and located next to Sluy's Bakery.
Parking can be grueling. Street parking is offered when you can find it, and there is a fairly large parking lot across the street, behind the businesses near the water; again, that can be a challenge. The worst times of the year to find parking is spring break, summer, and holidays. Today was a little tough, with no street parking to be had and the large parking lot was fairly filled. Why is it so busy this time of year??? My only guess would be people being cooped up because of covid.
**This is yet another great way to support a locally owned business and have some delightful food and drinks; thank you for continuing to support "all" local jobs and small businesses, and PLEASE be kind to ALL living things!!**
What a fantastic lunch we had. We went over Memorial day weekend so the place was busy but the service was quick and very friendly. This is some of the best German food I have had. Cant wait to go back.
Amazing food. Hands down. The best. We ordered the shepherds pie and the pile driver sandwich.
We really liked Tizley's. They had us out our name do wn fr our table and simply called us when the table was ready. It was much nicer to be browsing around town than waiting doing nothing.
We got the family platter for two for three adults. It was plenty and SO GOOD. If you held a gun to my head I'd pick the schnitzel.
