Had breakfast with my wife and son who we had come up to visit. My wife and son went with one of the omelets and hash browns, I went with the Ham with bone in, home fries, biscuits and gravy and we all had coffee. Even though there were a few ahead of us the wait was not bad at all. Service was great, atmosphere was great, food tasted great, and one of the best cups of coffee we all had ever had in a restaurant. I have always loved the Mom & Pop style restaurants originally being from Missouri and I was not disappointed by Waffle Iron. If you are looking for a place to talk it up with the waitresses then this is the wrong place and that's not a bad thing because they are too busy giving attention to each table. Never had to ask for a refill of my coffee which I got many because they were Johnny on the Spot with coffee or water. I loved the pictures on the walls and all the other décor. Prices were very reasonable as we paid less than $40 for the 3 of us with portions that were so large that I had to take part of my Ham Steak and Biscuits & Gravy with me. Very nice, home like atmosphere and will definitely return here whenever we go to Prescott in the future.
Very much worth any wait you might have and a MUST at least one of your mornings in Prescott, AZ.
Don't know why there are bad reviews. Yes it is a unique little hole in the wall but the prices are lower than almost anywhere in Prescott, the portions are good sized and it is my VERY favorite place for biscuits and gravy. Where else will you get 3 big biscuits cut in half and SMOTHERED in nice sausage gravy out the door for $4.65! I LOVE this place and I can't wait for.breakfast!
Like a comfortable shoe. I'll admit, it's not much to look at. Dumpy little building, dirt parking lot and funky paneling interior. But if you want a solid, no-nonsense American breakfast, this is the place. The food is always good and there's zero attitude.
We really enjoy this quaint restaurant!. The Waffle Iron has been a favorite for us for years. As you walk in, this establishment gives you an old fashioned feel. You're always met with a warm friendly greeting. The waffles are amazing!
Great little breakfast spot!. The staff is super accommodating and friendly; the food is delicious, and definitely a cute little place. I will certainly be returning any time I find myself in need of breakfast in Prescott!

Fast and very friendly service! The waffles were light and fluffy and a variety a syrups are offered. My hubby loves biscuits and gravy, I sampled them and they were excellent! Also offered are omelets and a kids menu.
This an authentic little breakfast spot with a good menu, friendly staff, and the corned beef hash was great. 2 thumbs up...
Great little breakfast place! Friendly staff, cooks were putting out the food at a fantastic pace and it was all delicious. Green chili bacon hash browns was superb, delicous corned beef hash and perfect eggs over easy. Very quaint vibe!
Cute little and quite historic place (including history plaque outside, see photo) that has been here for 30 years serving breakfast. Cook has been here for 28 of those years! Get basic 2 eggs and meat, potatoes and toast - including coffee for as little as 6.85. This is the place you'll find the locals on their way to work, jovially cracking wise with each other and taking about the weather and the news. Really pleasant and friendly staff who call you by name when you walk in the door and just want you to have a nice day. Decorated with memorabilia from years past, including a picture of Elvis. Great stop to get your morning vittles!
You want a breakfast that will stick to your ribs? You want something first thing in the morning? You want food like your grandma used to make? Go to the Waffle Iron. You won't regret it, I didn't. I would love to go again. I couldn't finish the biscuits and gravy and that is saying something.
Great food and service. I had corned beef hash and eggs with hashbrowns and a biscuit with gravy, my wife had the southwest skillet. Everything was excellent, the service was top notch. This is a small, Mom and Pop kinda place with excellent food and service that you'd expect.
