Our dinner tonight at Massimo was incredible! The restaurant was busy when we arrived so we had a ten minute wait for our reserved table. We hung out at the bar and enjoyed an awesome apple cider sangria (highly recommended) until our table was ready. Our server Melissa was welcoming, charming and knowledgeable about the food and wine menus. We started with the fig and Gorgonzola flat bread appetizer and it was out of this world. When I laid my eyes on the bread and cheese table Melissa said she would gladly bring me a tasting of the Parmesan cheese! So good! My friend and I shared the prosciutto wrapped salmon over risotto and pumpkin ravioli. The food was so outstanding we were legit sad we couldn't finish it all. A bottle of wine and 2 cannolis later we were highly impressed and already planning our next trip the the restaurant. I highly recommend you go to Massimo and ask for Melissa if you want a server who is over the top!
From beginning to end, a wonderful dining experience. The restaurant staff is friendly, professional and very accommodating. The menu has a full selection of traditional Italian dining with many appetizers and entrees that will please anyone. We are with our 9 and 5 year olds in tow, our server pointed out that they will make special items for kids, so please do not be alarmed that they do not have a printed children’s menu. In my opinion, the calamari and bone in veal chop are fantastic dishes, broccoli rabe has tremendous flavor and the wine list will not disappoint. We will definitely return and share our experience with anyone dining out in Providence!! Great job!!!
Service was superb! Our server, Dan, was exquisite in his responsibilities and went above and beyond. We would actually request him next time!! The manager, Sara(h?), was so friendly and welcoming. Upon learning it was our first visit to Massimo, she brought us some special cheese drizzled with 14 year-aged balsamic vinegar...to die for! The pork chop dish was far beyond my husband’s expectations! The black ink squid spaghetti’s presentation was simply elegant but the flavor went flying out of the park!! A little house made limoncello and we were ready for some Tiramisu and a cannoli. Not going to lie...the cannoli was better than Mike’s Pastry in Boston!!
Busy place for Mother's Day yesterday, but the food and the service was top notch, as always!! I doubt most places could legitimately make that claim. Joe and Esther, and their wonderful staff, are the best!!

Absolutely one of the best restaurants with amazing staff. Our server CJ was the best that we have ever had ANYWHERE - extremely pleasant, personable, attentitive, knowledgeable and truly went above & beyond to give us the best experience possible.
I wanted the Rigatoni Al Forno which you can get with sausage or chicken but I really wanted the braised short rib that was on the menu as part of the Gnocci entree. They were more than happy to accommodate me. It was the perfect combination of smokiness and cheesiness and it totally exceeded what I consider perfection. My boyfriend had the Vitello alla Griglia, veal tenderloin wrapped in prosciutto and said it was incredibly tender and incredibly tasty, needless to say there was nothing left on his plate!
It was our first time here but it definitely will not be our last.
I really want to thank CJ, the manager Brodey & of course the chef for such a great dining experience. And thank you for the passion you have in what you do - it really shined through today. Looking forward to seeing you guys soon!!

Food and service at this place were amazing! Great wine and drinks, crazy specials everything was delicious! The waiter and his team handled our group of 25 WITH EASE and a lot of laughs to go along with it! When we return to Providence for cheer again, there is no place else we will take a large group!
Was nice paced meal, not rushed in am out. Food was excellent, particularly liked the flavor or the red sauce. vegetarian friendly.

The food was excellent Our waiter was extremely attentive and excellent dealing with my grandchildren.We had a great night, the only downside was the noise level . It was too loud !
